My body wouldn't respond. Purple lights danced in my eyes as I could not regain more oxygen. Even if I could get air, I'm probably too far from shore to swim back. My ribs still pained from where the surf board had hit me. Soon it became darker and colder.
This is it. This is the end of Chad Newman. Mom, Dad, if you're in heaven, you better hide 'cause when I find you, you are going to wish you never left me at that doorstep. Then the world swirled into darkness as my life drained away.......
