You had a few more precious babies to feed in the petting zoo part of the park before heading down to feed to bigger guys and then you could go home for the day and relax. You already noticed the dark clouds rolling into the park from the east and knew you weren't going to make it back before that storm hit but you figured you try your luck anyways. The last of the babies had now been fed and you were racing the storm clouds to feed the big ones.

"Just a tad bit longer and I'll make it to at least half way there before they let loose" you grumbled driving a bit too fast but you made it to the last paddock safely and began feeding them only to have the sky let go and you were drench and had to get to cover and the only place close. . .Owen's bungalow.

Finally done feeding and now soaked to the bone you were speeding towards said mans home. It wasn't like you hated him, it was the opposite really but you just didn't need to to feel the sting of heartbreak again. You were scared. The rain mixed with the dirt on the roads and now you were sliding and trying hard to keep the jeep on the road. It was a miracle that you made it to the bungalow in one piece at that rate but you were in no condition to be thinking about that.

"OWEN!" you knocked quickly on his door trying hard to get his attention and it worked because he came rushing to the door in a panic.

"WHA-oh, come in" he motioned for you to come in and get out of the rain with a smug grin on his handsome face.

"Come back here" you were shivering and he noticed telling you to follow him, you listened quietly following his instruction.

He tossed you a pair of his clothes and showed you the bathroom, you changed into the rather large shirt but you couldn't fit the pants and had no other choice but to go out like that. The shirt was basically a dress on you but you were not ready to go out into the other room dressed so. . .lightly. You panicked for the good part of five minutes before Owen knocked on the door bringing you out of your worried thoughts.

"You alright in there?" he asked and from the closeness of his voice he had his head close to it.

"Y-yeah, um," you cleared your throat "yes, I'm fine" you reached for the handle, this was it you had no other option now.

It was obvious you were embarrassed, blushing like mad and nervous but he on the other hand was completely speechless seeing you standing there in front of him. There was a few minutes of silence while he stared at you and to honest the attention was getting annoying.

"Do you have a blanket?" you asked, face still red but your voice was strong and it took a second for him to respond but he did with a slow nod.

"Yeah, um, let me get that for you, you can sit on the couch if you'd like" he called and you did just that while he rummaged through the mess he called home.

"Thanks, Owen" you whispered taking the blanket and wrapping yourself in it, you were shivering and cold as you sat there.

He grabbed you some hot coffee while he was getting himself some handing it to you and sitting right next to you. He was very close, smelled amazing, and looked even better with no shirt on and as luck would have it your mind decided to take you on a journey that is probably not suited for younger audiences. You loved the man with all of your heart but there was no way in hell you were going to tell him that. You sipped on the coffee in silence for what felt like a long time until Owen stood up abruptly.

"How about some music?" he grinned over at you and you nodded slowly, maybe music would pass the time faster seeing as how the storm outside wasn't showing any sign of letting up anytime soon.

"I never took you as one to like instrumental" the music was slow and very lovely making you slowly move your head with the beat. You had your eyes closed for a moment before opening them and seeing Owen moving his small coffee table out of the way.

"Let's dance" you were reluctant, not because you couldn't dance but because it was him.

"But look at me, I'm not dressed for dancing" he laughed pulling you up and off of the couch, you collapsed into his arms and your face was red again.

It took a long while but you finally relaxed into him and began to slowly sway to the beat with his arms holding you tight and yours around his neck loosely. It was wonderful, you couldn't have picture a better moment and never imagined you'd spend it with Owen.

"Why do you hate me?" he whispered into your hair and you stiffened slightly and pulled back to look at him.

"I don't, I guess I was just scared to like you but that doesn't matter anymore" you whispered your eyes not leaving his "because I love you"

There was no moment to regain your composure and prepare for rejection because his lips were firmly planted on yours in a heated kiss. When you two pulled apart you were speechless and breathless and his ego couldn't have been higher seeing your face.

"Pretty good, hunh?" he smirked and you groaned smacking his arm playfully before leaning back into him.

"Shut it. . ." he held you, slowly inching his hands towards your butt "hands boy" you hissed and he laughed but moved his hands back to the middle of your back.

"How about you wait out the night here?" he said as you both stood in the middle of his living room, if you could even call it that.

"Sounds good, wanna get some sleep?" you didn't give him the chance to answer because you kissed him again, neither of you were getting any sleep for a little while but you were happy with him.
