A/N: I went back and edited all my silly mistakes

1 Day Earlier

I awoke to the morning sun creeping through the curtains. It was a very quiet morning. Lonely and quiet. Lonely because I already knew Chris was not next to me. Before, he would always wake me up with kisses on my neck or he would tickle me awake. He even made me breakfast in bed a few times.

But now..I never saw him. He always wakes up before me to go get more beer or he had a drug deal going on. Either way, the mornings were always cold and empty without him.

With a soft sigh, I rolled out of bed and stretched out my muscles before walking towards the bathroom.

As I did, the door opened and I turned my head, seeing Chris walk through the door, taking his gloves off. It must have been snowing out because his shoulders had white flakes on them. And his cheeks contained a soft blush.

"Morning love" He said softly and I smiled just a little. He didn't seem to be drunk or irritable. Which was rare but good.

"Good morning Chris" I walked over to him and kissed his cheek. He gave me a small smile. It was very small but at least it was something. But the air still felt so cold and tense. A storm was brewing.

"Where did you go?" I asked him. He shrugged and stayed quiet. Instead he started to take his coat off. I stood and waited for an answer. But I recieved none. My patience was starting to wear thin. His secrecy had wheels turning.

"Chris? Where did you go?" I asked again and he turned around, his eyes slightly cold.

"Its none of your business Kade. So please stop  nagging me" He was very firm and near emotionless. My stomach dropped in my stomach and was refilled with anger. I was so sick of this new attitude. All hope of today being different was swept away.

"What is with you lately Chris? You never talk to me. You're always leaving and never telling me where you're going. I mean...is there something going one that you.." I trailed off as the air grew very thick. He was staring at me with a horrid questioning.

"What are you insinuating Kade..?" He asked me carefully and I snorted. With a cross of my arms, we stared at each other.

"What should I be insinuating Chris? Please by all means tell me why you're acting like this"

"Like what...?" My anger began to surface.

"Like an alcoholic asshole!" I snapped at him and he chuckled with no humor.

"Oh I'm an asshole now?" I waved my arms as if he missed the obvious point.

"Yes you are Chris! You're always drunk. You're always being so damn mean. You always leave and don't come back for hours. You treat me as if you don't care about me! Or anyone for that matter!" I took a step closer to him and he was watching me with hard eyes. Almost like cat eyes. Slits in his vision. But his expression was as hard as stone.

"I do care about you Kade" His voice was as if he was on the verge of tears. It cracked.

"Since when? What has been going on with you? You completely shut everyone out and drowned your sorrows in alcohol..."I took his hands in mine. He looked conflicted and pained.

"Just please tell me...what is going on?" I pleaded with him...and just for a moment I saw him. I saw Chris. I saw the one that I fell in love with. And just as quick...the switch flipped.
