Kade
I pressed my lips against Chris's one last time before the doctors rolled him away for emergency surgery that was needed to remove the bullet from his chest. It was lodged too deep in and was way too close to his heart. So they would have to surgically remove it from him. Also they needed to check out his head to see the damaged done from the car crash because it was evident that he had some serious head trauma. But I didn't care what they did. Chris was alive. He was fucking alive. He survived a brutal car crash and being shot in the chest. Then he was practically dead. I don't even know how he did it but he managed to save himself. He fought for his life and in return he was given a second chance at life. Chris is a fighter. A warrior...
I covered my mouth with my hand to keep my sounds of pain to myself. My eyes began to water as he disappeared behind the double doors. I knew he wasn't out of the woods yet. I had no idea if he would survive the surgery or not. But I had to have faith him. He's stronger than anyone I know. And he has never failed once.
Chris Cerulli has the true heart of fire.
I kept my place for a few more minutes, just trying to get myself together before I go ans wait for his final fate. Just as I was about to turn, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I jumped just a little, startled, and turned around to see Austin standing behind me.
"Aus..." I croaked before pulling him in a tight hug. His arms wrapped around my small waist and he embraced me tightly. I couldn't keep it in anymore so I broke out into a sob on his shoulder.
"Shhh shh Kade calm down" Austin cooed in my ear and he rubbed my back soothingly. I hugged him tighter to me.
"What if he doesn't make it??" I whispered against his shoulder. I heard him sigh before pulling away. His hands cupped my cheeks softly and he rubbed my tears away with his thumbs.
"I think we all know by now that Chris isn't gonna go down without a fight. He's stubborn as hell and was bred by Satan" Austin cracked a sad smile and I couldn't help but laugh as I wiped my eyes with my sleeve. I nodded at his words because they were true.
"He'll be fine Kade. You know he will. Now come on" Austin said softly before placing a kiss on my forehead. I nodded again and he took my hand, leading me into the waiting room where the entire gang sat. My heart just melted at seeing their faces. I never thought I would be this happy to see them again but I am. I missed them all so much.
"Kade!" Ghost exclaimed before running over to me and engulfing me in a bear hug. More tears spilled from my eyes as I hugged him back tightly. My lovely flamboyant Ghost.
"I'm so happy your okay" He murmered against my neck just as I was pummeled with more hugs from all the guys. I heard Austin laughing behind us but I didn't care. I honestly never thought I would see these guys again. My family. They accepted me into their home and protected me as if I was truly family. They put their lives on the line to help save me and I will spend the rest of my life trying to repay them. These guys are all I have. They only people I consider family besides Gaige and Elliot. I'll cherish them until the day I die.
"You ever disappear like that again I'll find you just to hurt you" Ricky smiled at me so sugar sweet that is was evil. I smiled back at him, ignoring his threat. But someone was missing
"Where's Andy?" I asked. I noticed he wasn't here. Austin came up behind me and guided me to a private waiting room that was attached to the actual waiting room. It was a room with a large flat screen TV hanging on the wall. There were to leather sofas across from eachother, pushed up against the wall that had a lime green paint job. Austin gestured for me to sit and I nodded, sitting in one seat while he sat in the once across from me.
