First Day Of School: Mikey

You stood in front of the mirror while Mikey pinned a flower in your hair behind your ear. It was a Hawaiian flower that was yellow and faded to purple. You had on an orange dress on and green shoes on with white socks. Mikey did everything in his power to find you a school that did free dress since he couldn't picture his daughter in a uniform. Mondo Gecko was in your lap, licking his eyeball. When Mikey was done, you got up and put Mondo in his little habitat. You grabbed your green backpack, which you packed your lunch, your orange blanket, and your lucky tap shoes. Mikey signed you up when you were 1, right after your birthday.

Mikey walked you to the school yard and kissed your forehead and handed you your penny board. "Skate back to the lair ok?" He said. You nodded and ran off to your room. When you got there, you went straight into the room and put your backpack against the wall. A boy walked in and out his backpack next to yours. "Hi, I'm Blink", he said. You smiled. "(Y/n)", you said. You grabbed your tap shoes, put them on, and ran out side. You jumped on the play structure and stared to tap as Blink watched you. He clearly recognized your tap because he went inside and came back out with his tap shoes on. "Look at me, I'm the king of New York!!", you both sang. Kids gathered around as you two tapped and sung. Even the teacher smiled as the class and her watched you two dance and sing. One girl walked up to the playground and joined your fast pace dancing as well. "She's the king of New York!!", you two sang. "Who'd a thunk, I'm the king of New York!", she sang. At one point, someone tossed you and Blink a paper. "I've gotta be either dead or dreamin', cause look at that pape with ma face beamin'!!", you both sang and slapped the paper. Once you finished, everyone cheered and clapped as the girl and you and Blink got off stage. "I'm (bff's name)", she said. "(Y/n)", you said.

The rest of the day was amazing. You heard stories of far off places and soon rode your penny board home. When you entered, Mikey greeted you. "And how is my little Superhero?" He asked. "Good", you giggled. "I dance with my friend Blink and (bff) on the playground today", you said. Mikey smiled. "That's my girl", he said. You dropped your backpack and ran to your room. You pulled out Mondo Gecko as he licked his eyeball. He played with his little ball until you had to eat and then until you went to bed. You smiled as Mikey tucked you in, honking about how much fun the next 179 days were going to be in that class with Blink and (bff). You smiled and slowly drifted off to sleep, still smiling.
