You were in the choir room during lunch, drowning your tears in sorrowful songs. You would pause and shove a bite of sandwich inside your mouth then continue. You were too upset to really think, so you kinda chewed and sang at the same time.
Bert happened to be walking by when he noticed you aiming in the choir room. He opened the door just as you need a dog and a bite of strawberry.
"I'm sorry", you said. He walked to you and hugged you. "It's ok", he said and kissed your forehead. "Thanks", you said and he sat down. "How about something happier?" He asked. He played the keys and you two sung for the rest of lunch.
The rest of the day was good. Ally and Donnie were together again, which made you smile again. Things were back on track.
