News spread across the city of what happened to Darren, as rumor and conspiracy infected the minds of those interested in the case, creating false claims to ease their minds about the unknown. People believed the bags were left as a sort of warning to rival gangs, or rising crime bosses who failed at hiding their competitors, or maybe something supernatural... people came up with many stories to spread during the next few days since the report had been covered over the news. These stories became a problem for Anthony and Clyde, as strangers would make a false report of what could have happened or people who may be involved, but they were simply untrue, as none of their stories led to anything real. Until someone of importance called in...

Darren's older brother, Michael Johnson, called the number that was linked to Anthony, requesting that they talk, but Michael was unwilling to join the pair at the station for questioning. With the threat of decapitation and recently losing his brother, it was reasonable why Michael didn't want to leave him home, and asked for the questioning to be there instead of someplace he was unfamiliar with and in the way of danger, or so he thought.

Reluctantly, the two detectives agreed to join Michael at his home, hoping to get any leads as to what was going on, if any of the made-up stories were true, or if something unthought of was going on.

Anthony and Clyde approached the house where Michael resided. A simple smaller home with not many decorations on the outside, even the yard looked unkempt as strangely enough, a newer-looking car occupied the driveway. Clyde seemed unsure about all of this as he stopped Anthony from approaching the house, having stepped out of Anthony's car and rounded it to do so.

"Are you sure about this? This could be a setup, you know" Clyde expressed his concern, as he's heard horror stories of detectives or officials entering people's homes only to get injured or killed, but that didn't seem to stop Anthony.

"So? Even if it is, I hope it's quick" Anthony nonchalantly spoke, which surprised Clyde.

"Anthony!" Clyde stepped closer to his partner who continued up the walkway leading to the front door, grabbing Anthony's arm which stopped him momentarily. "What is that supposed to mean? Do you not care for our safety?"

Anthony looked down at Clyde, taking a deep breath as he pulled on a fake smile, letting out a chuckle to ease Clyde's worries "I'm joking, you get scared so easily" he teased "We'll be fine, I have a good feeling about this"

Clyde took a moment to fully digest Anthony's words, not wanting to believe them, but they shouldn't keep standing here like this before anyone could notice anyway. Anthony, on the other hand, really didn't care much for his safety, oftentimes disregarding it... like a week ago when he chased after that rebel, or almost a month ago when he failed at taking down Ivory.

With the concern for safety out of the way, Anthony continued his approach to the front door, as Clyde carefully followed, ready to run if things went downhill. Knocking on the bland front door, the two waited for a reply, listening closely as someone shuffled behind the door. Slowly, someone pulled open the front door just a crack, stopping from pulling back any further because of a small chain hooked to the neighboring wall. Dark brown eyes peeked from behind the crack, looking over the two detectives as a deep soft voice spoke up.

"Are you the guys?" The man asked, protecting himself behind the door. It was safe to assume that this was Michael.

"I think we are?" Anthony didn't know how to reply to that "I'm Anthony Weaver, I believe we talked over the phone... you had information on Darren, who's your brother, right?" He asked, doing his best to calm the man into trusting them, hoping he'd share everything he knew.

"Yes, ok ok.. give me a second " Michael closed the door to pull off the chained lock, opening it once again to allow the two fools to enter. "Ignore the mess, I haven't gotten a chance to clean" he apologized.
