Clyde escaped the Cleaver-wielding maniac the moment he was preoccupied by memory, not wanting to wait around any longer as he was in search of his friend, or even an exit as his own safety was still a concern. Clyde did risk his life to save Anthony, a few times now, but this was way too far and he knew Anthony wanted to die, so if given the chance, Clyde would run away and hope things work out with Anthony.
Blood dripping from the cut across his cheek from Harold's cleaver, Clyde ran from room to room in search of anything that could help him. Opening one door revealed a bare room, another door led to a collapsed floor, and another led to a dingy-looking kitchen. As Clyde was closing the door that led to the kitchen, he heard a soft groan coming from within. In a panic and slight curiosity, Clyde poked his head further into the room to see the cause of the noise, finding Anthony.
The sight alone stunned Clyde as Anthony's severed leg lay across the floor, showing the barely alive man curled up by the counters as a makeshift tourniquet stopped the bleeding from his amputated right leg. The smell of blood was thick in the air as not even the scent of well-cooked human meat could mask the horrendous stench.
Anthony clung to life by a thin string, his faded eyes glancing over at Clyde as he felt his heart pump blood through his body quicker, happy to see his friend, though his face couldn't express this emotion as his main concern was staying awake and alive for as long as possible. Amazed by this, Clyde was quick to kneel by Anthony's side, trying to figure out a way to get them both out of there alive, but there weren't many options.
A wheelchair would be helpful, but the kitchen didn't hold such a thing. A phone would also be helpful, but with Hypno running an illegal fighting and human meat scheme, a phone just lying around would be idiotic. So with no other option, Clyde helped Anthony to his feet, or foot, and let the man lean against his smaller body for support, as the two stumbled their way out of the kitchen.
Anthony tried his best to hobble, but with each motion and every step, pain shot through his body like fireworks and demotivated him from any sort of hope of surviving this endeavor. Clyde tried his best to move quickly but slowly enough to not push Anthony too hard, but It was clear that Anthony was giving up, as his leg went numb, causing Clyde to drag his friend down the hall, not even a couple of feet from the kitchen they had just exited.
Clyde wouldn't give up though, as he pulled Anthony by his underarms, mumbling out soft words of encouragement for his friend, and also for himself. Reaching the end of the hall revealed two pathways, one going left and one going right, ideally if Clyde took the right path and took another right when it presented itself, he should make it back to the main room with the guests... but a left would be the fastest way out of here. So Clyde pulled Anthony down the left hallways, in hopes of reaching an exit quicker.
Panting heavily, Clyde grew tired of dragging his friend around, but leaving him here wasn't an option, it just made things more difficult. The familiar scent of chemicals made a comeback as Clyde understandably panicked, looking down the remainder of the hallway to find that the way had been blocked off by wood, trash, and panels. Clyde had led them down a dead end, why didn't he choose the right path?
Cursing softly, Clyde tensed up when he heard the faint sound of laughter, watching as Hypno stepped out from around the corner, trapping the two completely.
"So you are still alive... I thought Spoons would have dealt with you" Hypno mumbled in slight annoyance "What did you do with him, where is he now? Did you kill him you pesky rat"
Clyde felt many emotions at this point, feeling fear in his life, and anger that this man was doing this to many unknowing victims, he also felt sadness for his friend having to suffer this long and possibly never getting the help he needed.
