Clyde felt terrible for abandoning his friend like that, but Anthony had put them in a dangerous position, treading through the darkened woods in hopes of finding an abandoned building that supposedly held a party. With Jamie by his side, Clyde retraced their steps back towards the edge of the forest.

"I'm so sorry about all of that Jamie" Clyde apologized on behalf of Anthony, seeing the fear that once filled Jamie now faded away, replaced by concern and embarrassment.

"It's ok, you guys were right... I should have just told the police" they admitted "but I thought you two could do it on your own"

"No we couldn't, Anthony doesn't know what he's talking about, he's just delusional" Clyde didn't know what other word could describe Anthony in a time like this, but after hearing what Anthony had been through, it wasn't that far fetched to think he'd do something this dangerous.

"But he's a detective... detectives aren't delusional, I always thought" Jamie mumbled, looking down at the crunching leaves and twigs under them as they walked.

"But he isn't, not anymore" Clyde sighed "Don't worry about it too much Jamie, you were just excited to show us something, and forgot about safety-" Clyde was quick to pause when he heard a faint scream coming from deep within the woods.

The two looked back beyond the twisting trees, Clyde's heart racing as he immediately knew his friend was in danger, but he had to remember that this is what he wanted, to die looking for the truth... but Clyde couldn't stand idly by, he felt the need to help.

"Jamie, you get out of here and call the police" Clyde instructed, pushing Jamie forward as they stumbled on their feet.

"But I don't have a phone!"

Thinking quickly, Clyde took out his phone and handed it to Jamie, looking down into their eyes to show the importance of this situation "Go, call, the, police" he spoke slowly but urgently "Tell them Clyde Moore and Anthony Weaver need their help, send a search party if you have to!"

Clyde shouted as he turned to make his way back into the woods, leaving Jamie alone to do as they were told, hoping to help Anthony in whatever mess he had gotten himself in.

Clyde ran down the trail they had once traveled on, doing his best to not trip as he tried to identify where Anthony had gone, since there were no clues he could follow at this moment, having to rely on pure luck to find his friend. Passing by the swinging spike trap they had set off, Clyde knew he was getting close as he continued forward, following what little trail there was as he was quick to get lost.

Slowing his run to a swift walk, keeping an eye out for any more traps or any signs of Anthony, which was a good call as he stepped on a large stick that activated a bear trap just inches away from Clyde's foot. Clyde yelped out as the stick snapped in half due to the trap, taking a deep breath, he wasted no time to keep moving. Clyde had spotted a few more bear traps in the area, doing his best to avoid them as he was hoping Anthony didn't get caught up in one, but he soon realized it wasn't a beartrap Anthony had got himself stuck in... but a pitfall trap.

Clyde stopped when he found a decently large ditch, looking down into the trap, he noticed wooden spikes lining the bottom, one of which was stained in blood, but there was nobody. Circling the trap, he soon noticed the grass had been flattened, leading Clyde in a direction which he would have never thought of going. This had to be Anthony, and someone had gotten ahold of him, but Clyde wasn't going to allow that as he confidently followed the trail to wherever it may lead.

The trail winded around trees and rocks, soon reaching a gravel road as Clyde could point out a few blood-soaked rocks here and there from Anthony being dragged over them. The road wasn't long as it soon reached its destination, which was a large abandoned factory.
