"Foolish child! I could swallow you whole!" Gildersnake booms, but Azura was left unshaken by her foe's threat. "Do not underestimate me, Gildersnake! For I am the good witch Azura, warrior of peace!" Azura pauses slightly, then aims her magic staff at Gildersnake and shoots a fireball out of it "Now eat this, sucka!" Azura shouts.

"No! My only weakness! Dying!" Gildersnake cries, and flops down onto the ground.

"And that's the end." Luz says proudly. "The end of what?" Camila, Luz's mother, asks. "My book report. I think I knocked it out of the park." Luz answers. "Your book report is why you're in here!" The principal says, clearly disappointed in her.

Students can be heard screaming with snakes in their hair from outside the principal's office. "Oh. That's where the backup snakes were."

"And what were you going to do with..." Camila holds up a pack of fireworks "..This."

"That was for the act three closer.." Luz sighs. "Mija, I love your creativity, but it's gotten out of hand. Do you remember why you were in the principal's office the last three times? We all love that you express yourself, but if you can't learn to separate fantasy from reality, you may need to spend the summer here." Camila holds out a pamphlet for Reality Check Summer Camp.

"Don't worry, mom! I won't let you down! No more weirdness!" Luz says, determined to make her mother proud. However, that is quickly ruined when the snake she was holding attacks the principal. "...That doesn't count, right?"

~~~
"Oh, my baby." Camila says and hugs Luz tightly. "Now, don't worry. Summer camp is only going to be for three months. You'll be so busy balancing checkbooks and learning to.. uh.. appreciate public radio! The time will fly by!" Camila smiles.
Luz puts her arms out "But I don't like any of that stuff! I like editing anime clips to music, and-and reading fantasy books with convoluted backstories!" Luz exclaims.
"Mija, your fantasy world is holding you back. Do you have any friends? Real ones, not imagined or drawn, or reptilian. Summer camp is a chance to make some friends, but you have to try! Can you do that?" Camila says.
"Yes mom." Luz says, dejected. Luz places her copy of The Good Witch Azura in the trash.
Camila's phone vibrates. "Oh! I have to go to work." Camila kisses Luz's forehead. "Your bus is coming soon, text me when you get there." Camila says, and walks off toward her car. "Bye, mom."
As soon as she is in the clear, Luz quickly starts digging through the trash, looking for her book. Luz hears a hoot in front of her, and Luz looks up and sees a small owl holding a brown sack that had her book in it.
The owl begins to fly off "Tiny trash thief!" Luz exclaims, and begins chasing after the owl.
The owl flies into a spooky looking abandoned house. Luz hesitates, but quickly summons all her courage and runs inside after the owl. The door shuts behind her, and yellow lights emit from the house.
"Stop adorably hopping away, you... huh?" Luz looks around at the various items cluttered around the tent she was in. "Woah, and I thought I had a lot of weird stuff, but this.. this is impressive."
"Finally! You're back." A woman's voice booms from behind the tent's curtain. Luz cautiously walks up to the curtain and pulls it back slightly, revealing a middle aged woman with grey hair and a red dress. "Now, let's see what we've got here." She says, and screws the owl onto her staff, which transforms it into wood. Luz gasps. The lady pulls out a cellphone from the sack "Garbage." She tosses the phone and grabs the next thing in the sack, which looks like a diamond ring "Garbage." She says, and tosses it as well. She pulls out a gold and shiny chalice. "Garbage." Like the other two valuable items, she tosses it away.
