After my dad started coming into my room at night my mother picked up her own habits . She didn't hit on my she was a good mom and I felt like she tried her best but she would tie her arm with an elastic and inject something into her. As a kid she told me it was just medicine and so I didn't think nothing of it, but she was a mean person after her fix. I would come home after school to see her passed out on the couch and I would wake her up to ask her for a hug or a snack or to go to the park with me and she would yell at me or push me. I felt like I  was losing my mother and so I called hers.

"Ring ring ring"-Ashlyn, grandma hiii I miss you. -Granny, hi angle how's my girl doing. I started crying-Ashlyn, granny I'm scared mom not herself and dads....just not right.-Granny, sweetheart what's happening what's going on with ur mom.-Ashlyn, she's been pushing me and being mean idk if it's her medicine or something and dads been drinking and he comes in my room at night and he he....."cry's".-Granny, Ashlyn baby I'm coming over but I live an hour away could you pack a bag for me and hid it under ur bed till I'm there I wouldn't let this happen to you anymore I love you and please be safe.-Ashlyn, thank you so much grandma I love you I can't wait to see you again.

I listened to my grandma and packed me some clothes in a bag and also the last thing my mom gave me, A pink elephant I got for my birthday, my mom said she would always keep me safe. 4:45pm. Grandma walks in the door and I get up from the floor of the tv and give her a hug. Everything felt safe with my grandma around she makes me feel safe ever since my 10th birthday my parents have been completely different people my mom says I'm the reason why dad started drinking that getting pregnant with me ruined there marriage but my grandma tell me I'm a blessing and I believe her, I was 12 years old when I started living with my grandma.

-Grandma, baby where's mom at.-Ashlyn, shes in the bathroom.-Granny, ok I need you to get your bag and go my my car ok imma tell ur mom that imma keep you for a while and I'll be right out ok, lock the door and don't open it for no one.-Ashlyn, I will thank you grandma. Then she kissed me on my head and she waited for me to get to the car.Grandma then burst into moms bedroom and saw her on the floor having a seizure, needle on the floor and a hundreds of pictures of our family ripped up.-Grandma, OH MY GOD!!!, wake up baby please, don't die don't die. She ran to the kitchen to call a paramedic and went back to my mom. She later there and cried next to my mom as she took her last breathe.-Granny, NOOO!!! My baby please god don't take her from me "cry's".

I didn't hear her cry or scream all I wanted was my mom to get better, but as I saw the doctors bringing a body out in a white bag I knew it was my mother and all I could do was cry not just because she was my mom but because I didn't know she was gonna die that day or if she had been dead before I even called my grandma, suddenly all of my memories with my mom flooded my mind and broke my heart, from pushing my on the swing, to doing my makeup on the couch, from the first day of school. And every birthday I knew it was all over and I'd never have that again.

My dad drove in as they were carrying her out the house drunk but still aware or what was going on he tried crabbing on to the stretcher as he broke down and cried, I've never seen my dad cry or care for anything in the past two years but in that moment I almost recognized my father.-Dad, what happened to my wife where are you taking her. -Paramedic,Sir your wife has unfortunately passed away from a drug overdose witch related into a severe
Seizure we have knowledge to believe she's been dead for a few hours, was anyone in the house with her.- Grandma, my granddaughter was but she had no idea she's only 12 years old only I knew she was dead when I called I watched her take her last breath Ashlyn wouldn't have known. Sir you are more than welcome to come with us and tell us what you would like to be expected of the body next week, and try to sober up.

-Dad, where's my daughter Mel.-Granny, she is with me and there's nothing you can do to stop me from taking her away from this, you are drunk probably every day it's almost 6 o'clock  and you just got home. Did you even know my daughter was using.... I didn't think so you aren't fit to take care of her and I don't trust you around my baby so she'll be with me from no on. And if you wanna do something about your behavior and maybe be a father but the alcohol down get a job and stop being a bum.-Dad, you can't just come here and take her from me Mel.-Grandma, oh really because if you try I'll have police over hear faster than the flash and I'm sure they would let me have her considering my daughter just died with a miner in the house, no child supervision from you at all today and my granddaughter has shared with with some story's about what you did to her when you finally did get home.

-Grandma, the only reason I haven't called myself is because she's asked me to wait till I come get her and help her momma before I but you away, you don't deserve a family or anything and when your dead and gone no one will ahead a tear.lat that sink in. And all my dad said was good luck with that brat and got back into his car and that was the last time I saw my dad .
