I gazed out at the city lights, lost in thought. Suddenly, Gale appeared beside me.
"Are you sure you want to come with me?" he asked, his voice soft with concern. I hastily wiped away my tears and lifted my gaze to the sky.
"If I stay here, they'll keep controlling me. Daddy will be furious when he finds out. I have no reason to stay. I might end up on the streets."
"Why are you doing this?' I asked, my eyes locked on his. "Why are you helping me? There's always a catch, right?" I searched his face for answers, my gaze intense.
"My favor is simple,"he said, his eyes holding mine.
"What... what kind?" I stammered, my curiosity piqued.
"Be my girlfriend" nanatili akong naka tingin sa kanya. "My temporary girlfriend, can you do that?" My lips parted.
"I want to make my mother happy. Her face lit up with joy when I told her I'd be bringing my girlfriend home."
"A temporary girlfriend?" He nodded.
"I'll help you, and in return, you'll help me. Once you've gotten what you want, I'll release you from our agreement, and you'll be free, i will let you go when you want to" Hindi ko tinanggal ang titig sa kanya, at ganoon din siya. Mabuting tao siya, isang tunay na gentleman at sobrang bait.
He's willing to help me, and thats enough for me to survive in this world. I'm truly grateful to have him by my side.

"Can we try...not to fall for each other?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. "I-I'm just scared."
My gaze dropped, but his remained fixed on mine. "Ya lo intenté," he whispered, his voice barely audible, in Spanish.
"Also promise me something" nag-angat ako ng tingin sa kanya.
"No boys, as long as your tied to me. You are mine" thats not hard at all.
I nodded in agreement.
