After leaving the hospital we headed to the mall.
As we strolled through the mall, people couldn't help but steal glances at Gage. His commanding presence was undeniable. I attempted to fall back, but he wouldn't have it. He insisted I walk beside him or even ahead, as if shielding me from the world.
I wished the ground would swallow me whole, my face burning with shame. I felt humiliated, ashamed of myself.
I bowed my head, focusing on adjusting my reflection in the mirror to avoid eye contact. Gage noticed my sudden shyness and drew me closer, his gentle embrace a comforting solace.
We stepped into a high-end men's luxury store, and I was taken aback by the staggering prices.
Ang mahal naman! Grabe, nakakabaliw ang mga presyo dito.

Gage held up a sleek polo shirt, seeking my opinion. "What do you think? Will it suit me?" I examined the shirt, nodding in approval.
"You should try it on," I suggested.
The sales man escorted him to the fitting room.
Nagtingin-tingin ako sa mga damit hanggang sa lumabas siya. Tulala akong nakatingin, at agad natauhan.
"So?"
"Yes, bagay" he nodded.
"I'll take all of these," he said, gesturing to the clothes he'd tried on. I was stunned, having checked the prices just moments before.
Lahat ng naka organized sa kinunan niya ng kanyang suot ngayun ay bibilhin niya!
He went on a shopping spree, buying multiple suits, shoes, and even a limited-edition Rolex. This man is insane...
"Magagamit mo ba yan lahat?" I asked, breaking the silence as the cashier tallied up his purchases.
"'Do you have enough to pay for all that?" I asked, concerned about his budget.
He tilted his head slightly, thinking.
"Hmm, I didn't think of that." I was shocked and concerned about what he said. He glanced at my reaction and made a small laugh.
"Would you mind lending me money?" he whispered, his voice teasing, but I think he's serious.
"Y-yes sure i dont mine..." sabi ko, handang magpahiram ng pera mula sa aking ipon. Mabait siya sa akin, at alam kong kailangan niya talaga, kaya sumang-ayon ako at inabot ang aking card.
I heard his deep, low chuckle as he pulled out a slim wallet from his pocket. I narrowed my eyes, trying to get a better look.

"1.7 po lahat, sir," sabi ng babae, na nakatingin sa akin. "Po?" Gulat na tanong ko, at ningitian niya ako.
"1.7 million po lahat," ulit niya. Pinrocess ko ang sinabi niya, baka mali ang dinig ko.
Kinuha ni Gage ang isang card, pero hindi ito black, at binigay niya sa babae.
Tumingin ako sa kanya, hindi makapaniwala.
Bumaling siya sa akin, bitbit ang mga dala niya.
"Shall we?" Nanghihina ako at walang salitang tumango na lamang.
Huminto ulit siya at humarap sa akin. "Shall we have dinner before going home?" tanong niya. Wala akong nakakain simula pa noong umaga, panay snacks lang ang kinain ko kanina kaya pumayag nalang ako.
Dito kami kumain sa isang five-star restaurant, the restaurant decorations seems too romantic.
Someone guided us to a table for two.
Maypa candle pa sa gitna nito at bakit ang dilim ng paligid? I mean may ilaw naman pero kasi madilim sa aking salamin na suot.
Nauna siyang naglakad sa akin, naka sunod ako. Pagkalapit namin sa table pinag-hila niya ako ng upuan.
Naguluhan man ay umupo ako.
Magka-iba talaga ang ugali nila ni gale. Baka magka-iba din ang pagpapalaki sa kanila?
Pagkatapus naming mag-order tinanong ko sa kanya ang tanong na kanina ko pa gusto tanungin.

He shrugged."Why is he in the Philippines while you're abroad?" I asked again.
"Did you both grow up here?"
"I grew up in Spain, while he grew up in the USA and moved to the Philippines at 18."
"Why weren't you together back then?"
"Our parents separated when we were 11. I stayed with our mom, while he stayed with our dad"
"Dad is kinda strict, mom spoiled me so much. My mom is the L'vade Heiress, Dad cheated plot twist his my half brother. Does that answer all your questions?" Thats why gale is different from him.
He kinda have bad childhood? I wonder and i want to hear his reasons so bad.
"He's been rude to me ever since I decided to accept him. Still, he's my brother."
Hindi ko naranasan ang lumaki kasama si Daddy, kaya hindi ko alam ang kanyang nararamdaman.
"You know, my parents are also separated"
Ang kanyang titig nito nanatiling naka tuon sa akin.
"You got siblings?" I shook my head.
"I probably have a half sister" ngumit ako ng mapait. "But I haven't meet her, yet" nanatili siyang nakikinig.
"So you grew up with your father?" I shook my head.
"On my mother, But she passed away...i was taken from her, so i grew up without parents" nag-iwas ako ng tingin at tumikhim.
Maya-maya dumating na ang order namin at tahimik kaming kuma-in.
Baka hinanap ako ni gale ngayun? Na block ko pala number niya kaya hindi siya makakatawag sa akin.
Baka galit na siya ngayun.
Umuwi na kami pagkatapus kuma-in.
"Thanks for joining me today," he said.
I smiled and nodded.
"No problem, thanks for dinner, it was delicious! Papasok na ako" he nod kaya nauna na akong pumasok at kitang walang tao sa sala.
Nauna akong umakyat sa itaas.
Nang pinihit ko ang doorknob, bigla akong hinila papasok ng isang tao, sinara ang pinto at narinig ko ang tunog ng lock.
Ang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko habang lumihis ako palangganan, tinitingnan ang madilim na sulok ng kwarto. Ang tanging ilaw na nakikita ay ang maliwanag na sinag mula sa kurtina.
I went to the bedside table and quickly turned on the lamp.
"G-gale?"
The lamp's glow accentuated his facial features.
"W-what are you doing here?" Nanatili ang kanyang malamig na titig sa akin.
Ang polo niya ay nakatupi sa kanyang braso, at ang tatlong butones sa kanyang dibdib ay naka bukas.
