Tae: Hey! Are you in the office?
You: Yep. Why?
Tae: Can you come down for a minute?
You: You're here? Wait. I'm coming.
Mirae put down her phone and dashed to the entrance on the first floor, taking an elevator. As the door opened when it reached the floor, she came out and looked around. She decided to check outside and there he was. Taehyung was there, in his office suits looking handsome as usual with a packet in his hands.
"Hey!" He waved at her
-"Hey!" Mirae waved back and walked towards him smiling.
-" Were you busy?" he asked.
-"Not really. Was preparing for tomorrow's hearing"
-"The Aster's one?"
-"Yeah"
-"I heard it's going to be in your favour most probably. Congrats in advance Mirae!" he said smiling.
-"Not yet. Let's see tomorrow"
-"Don't forget to treat me to dinner on your first victory" he said smiling.
-"Really? Aren't you busy with CEO Kim Taehyung?"
-"I'm, but I can spare some time for my best friend," he said smiling.
-"You can't even imagine how happy I feel right now. I missed you Tae. I missed us." Mirae said as her eyes glistened.
-" I'm sorry Mirae. I know it was me who drifted away, from you, from us. You did nothing wrong. I regret treating you like that. I'm really sorry". He said as a tear escaped his eyes. Mirae hugged him, wasting no second and so did he.
"It's okay. I'm glad we're back to normal. And please share with me if anything is bothering you" she said gently patting his back. Pulling away from each other they both smiled at each other fondly. She felt someone's strong gaze from her peripheral vision that made her look to her left only to see a familiar pair of eyes watching them both with an unreadable expression. Tae followed her gaze and noticed his ex-best friend standing a few metres away from them.
Mirae knew it would be awkward since Jungkook and Taehyung were not in good terms but still she thought about the possibility of them changing over the years. She smiled at Jungkook but noticed his gaze was on Tae instead. Tae didn't know how he should react seeing him after this long, on the other hand, Jungkook was contemplating whether he should be happy to see his best friend after years or just punch him for not cancelling the wedding. Anyways, Tae decided to break the awkward gaze and spoke
-"Hey! Long time no see"
-"Why? Did you miss me?" Jungkook asked, walking close to both of them.
-"You wish" he said, locking gaze with Jungkook.
Both of them stood there shooting glares at each other and then there was Mirae, who was clueless of what to do. She tucked on Tae's arm and said "I think you should leave"
-"Yeah, I'm" he said looking at Jungkook.
-"Not that soon. We need to catch up with a lot buddy" said Jungkook and then he looked at Mirae "You should go back Mirae."
Mirae noticed how his eyes were sending death glares to Taehyung, softened when it turned to her. She didn't know what these two were up to. She looked at Tae and then he said "Yes, you should go back".
