I woke up with a feeling in my gut, I don't know what the feeling was but it felt good. It was like happiness, or, hell I don't know. It just felt good. I took a deep breath as I felt arms snake around my waist. I realized that I was naked under my covers and there was someone else in my bed. I turned my head a little to see Skylar lying down with her front pressed against my back, and her hair everywhere. Her right arm was on my waist and her leg was between mine. I smiled a little seeing how beautiful she looked.
Her eyes started to open which for some reason told my mind to close my eyes, so I do. I opened my left eye a little to see her stare at me. She smiled a little as she yawned. "I know you're up." I slowly opened my eyes to see her still smiling at me. Her hand started going through my hair making me close my eyes again. "You are so beautiful." I blushed a little at her comment and continued to have my eyes closed. I felt the bed move a lot letting me know she got out of bed. I opened my eyes to see her ass in front of me.
I continued to watch her as she moved around my room. She stopped and looked at me and smiled. "I love it when you stare at me like that." I averted my eyes from here and grabbed the blankets and pulled them up a little. She chuckled and went into the bathroom. I fully laid down on my bed and let it take over my body, I felt comfortable until for the first time ever I heard my phone ring. I squinted my eyes in confusion because I thought I had it off.
I got up and searched for it until I found it under my bed. The bright screen surprised me because I hadn't seen it in a while. The ID caller said 'Layla'. I sighed as I answered the call. Immediately I heard the word 'hello' because she was surprised I answered.
"Hey."
"Why haven't you been answering my calls?" I sighed.
"In all fairness, I haven't been answering anyone's calls because I had my phone off." I could just feel her rolling her eyes.
"So are you ignoring everyone then? Because if you ignore me because of the whole 'I love you' thing-"
"It's not that."
"Then what is it?" I sighed again as I felt my back go stiff. There was a silence on the phone which I could tell irritated her.
"It is because of the 'I love you' thing isn't it?"
"No-"
"Because if it is I didn't mean it." My mouth shut closed. Did she seriously not mean it? I mean I didn't necessarily ignore her because of that, I ignored her because I am going through a freaking love triangle right now and I want to just be by myself. Layla was my safe place, I mean yeah I ignored her for a few days but that doesn't mean I don't want to talk to her.
"Even if the issue was that saying you didn't mean it isn't the best way to go, Layla. You say 'I love you, is not the problem, honestly, I was touched by it because I thought I would have a future with someone that I love, but I guess since you didn't mean it that dream is gone." The bathroom door opened and out came a smiling Skylar, because of her smiling I could tell she was listening to our conversation. There was another silence on the phone because we both knew what was getting ready to happen. "Layla I don't think we can work out."
"Madelyn-"
"Goodbye Layla." I hung up the phone without her saying anything else. I took a few seconds to catch my breath because I knew I was getting ready to start crying. So instead of drowning in my sorrows I threw my phone across the room, which it crashed into the wall and broke. There was the battery and glass everywhere. Skylar just looked at me in amazement.
"Well hell, I didn't even know you could get upset." I looked at her and then glared. She just chuckled. "Don't get all grumpy with me." She then sat on my bed and started putting on her shoes. With her doing this it made me realize she was dressed in a tux that made her look amazing. "I'm going to a meeting and you have the day off. I will be back in the evening and I want you to be packed and ready to go."
