I woke up with all my nerves at its breaking point. I didn't want to get out of bed but I knew I had to. There was no other choice I had, well I did have a choice but I chose to take the latter in this case. Today I had an interview for a new job. I am very excited because the job is for one of the best jewelry companies in the world. I am happy and nervous but more happy. I just moved from Missouri to Seattle about four weeks ago and now I'm ready to start looking for a job.
I got out of my bed and got into the shower. The shower was refreshing and just what I needed to start my day. I moved out of Missouri because I needed a fresh start and wanted to be independent, I was in foster care for about five years and honestly as usual it was the most terrible time of my life. Plus I wanted to get out of that weather. Like seriously, one day it feels like summer and the next day it's snowing. But it wasn't all bad, there were days when we didn't have school and I would just sit home alone and be happy. (Just to clear everything up, she lost her mom when she was 13. If I said anything other than that I'm sorry my brain is a burrito.)
I got out of the shower and grabbed my large towel. I dried off and then put on my pencil skirt and white tank top with a black blazer over it. I looked in the mirror and smiled to myself. I have been working on how my body looks for years and I finally got it to where I like it. I did my makeup and left my apartment.
As I got into my car I realized that I had about thirty minutes so I went to go get coffee. The drive was short which I am happy about because I like to get my coffee early and easily. I pulled up to the small cafe and smiled once I saw the person behind the counter. "Hey gorgeous, ready for your interview?" My smile seemed to grow as my old boss Layla handed me a cup with English coffee inside. I used to work here but decided I needed a stable job.
"Yeah actually, nervous but ready." She smiled as she continued to look into my eyes.
"Well, I'm free anytime to release your nerves." She said while wriggling her eyebrows. I rolled my eyes and chuckled. I don't like lying to people so instead of answering I just turned around with the hot steamy drink in my hand. I heard her chuckle behind me which made me chuckle.
About the time I arrived at the big glass building I had about ten minutes to waste. I walked into the building and saw a crap ton of people. They all looked like they were in a rush so I didn't want to stop any of them.
I somehow ended up in the elevator because I was down there pushed inside of it. I was crammed in the back of the elevator with people in suits who looked tired and annoyed. I kept my mouth shut because I knew they didn't need another voice inside their head annoying them.
Once the elevator opened everyone walked out and so did I. Whenever we were all off all of them walked in different directions. I on the other stood there looking confused and lost. There were desk everywhere and people printing and talking and laughing. I smiled to myself because I could see myself working here. "Either you're new or lost." I turned my head to see a guy with the typical blonde hair and blue eyes. He was honestly handsome and looked kind enough.
"Both." He chuckled as he extended his hand. I gladly took it and we shook hands. We stared at each other for a while and it started to get uncomfortable.
"Well, can I be of assist somehow?"
"Um yeah. I'm looking for the boss. I'm interviewing to be her assistant." He nodded slowly as he looked down. "What?" I asked.
"I'm glad that you are interviewing for that position because I know it pays well. But the boss can be a little of a hardhead. I've been working here for about two months and that woman has gone through ten assistance. But on the other hand she's hot." I chuckled.
"Well I'm gay so that last one should make me feel a little better." He smiled.
"Well in that case I hope you get the job so I can have someone who shares the same interests in women as I do." I chuckled. "Well anyways her office is the top floor. Good luck." I smiled again and nodded my head.
"I'm Madelyn by the way."
"Nate."

I went back onto the elevator and rode it to the top. Once the doors opened I came face to face with the view of Seattle. I smiled because I always loved looking at the sky. I walked out of the elevator and saw two big white double doors. I chuckled because in movies whenever there are two double doors there is usually something unexpected waiting behind them.
I knocked on the doors and heard a harsh 'Come in'. I sighed because I could tell she was going to be a pain in my ass. I took a deep breath and walked in.
Once I did all I saw was black, which by the way I love. There were black leather couches a little bit in front of the winder with some gold certain. The view was amazing, and so were the windows. If you couldn't tell by 'view' I meant the beautiful goddess sitting behind the wide desk. She had black hair that went down a little past her shoulders and I could tell she had a little make-up.
I was brought out of a daze when I heard someone clear their throat. I looked up at the woman to see her looking over my body. I closed my eyes and sighed as I walked up to her desk and sat down at the desk in front of her desk.
"Good morning Miss Cooper.' I said hi to her and smiled to myself because she knew my name. I also knew she had my resume in front of her, but it's the thought that counts.
The interview went on for about another fifteen minutes and I knew it was going bad. I tried to flirt with her a bit but when I did she started to get harsh with me. I didn't let it bother me though because I knew this wasn't going to be easy. "Well, Miss Cooper you seem to be the perfect fit." I squinted my eyes at her because I knew I wasn't. Instead of saying that I decided this was my last chance to flirt.
"Well, I seem to fit in plenty of places," I swear for a minute I saw her eyes go dark with lust. She started chuckling to herself and so did I. I stopped though once I saw a sparkling diamond on her finger. I asked her how long she's been married and she started smiling. Honestly I kind of felt jealous but I had no reason to be. I always found out she has a wife so that kind of made me feel better.
She gave me the stuff I needed for work and told me I start next week. Whenever she was leading me out she put her hand on my back and I swear for a minute it was on my ass. Before I had time to investigate she removed it.
I went back to the floor where I met Nate. When I found him ache smiled. "I'm guessing you got the job?" I smiled wide as I nodded my head. He started chuckling as he took my hands and smiled. "I know we don't know each other well but I have a feeling we are going to be seeing a lot of each other, so do you want to go out and grab drinks to celebrate?" I am not really the type of person to go out on a weekday but I am going to need a friend.
"I would be honored." He smiled let go of me put hands and nodded his head, we exchanged numbers and went our separate ways.

Let's just say that going to a bar in the middle of the week was still not the best idea. About time Nate and I made it to the bar it was packed, it honestly looked like a club in my head. People were drinking, kissing, and dancing. I followed Nate everywhere considering I didn't know anyone.
I will admit we had fun but I seriously think I had a little too much to drink. I was wobbling everywhere and my head felt so dizzy. I ended up finding Nate talking to some girl. I walked over to him and tripped landing right into his arms. "She's pretty," I said as I looked over to the woman. Nate chuckled and said that it was about time I went home. I didn't ever bother to argue because I knew he was right.
He took me to his car and I somehow told him where my house was. Once we got there he had to drag me up to my room. He laid me in my bed and stared at me. "Dude, you are aware I'm gay right?" I asked with like three hiccups in between. He chuckled a little and continued to stare at me. The last thing ai remember was him saying 'I bet I could change that' before I blacked out.

Present DayI sat there on my bed and continued to stare out into space
Is this Nate's baby?
