♡JIMIN'S PERSPECTIVE♡
As I strolled ahead of the two men who seemed to take pleasure in my humiliation, a mix of annoyance and embarrassment washed over me. I could already picture Sunmi and Taemin relentlessly teasing me when I show up for work tomorrow. Thoughts of revenge flickered in my mind.
I didn't even notice I had zipped past the spot they had in mind for our little outing, nor did I realise I was channeling my inner Usain Bolt until I heard their footsteps pounding behind me and Yoongi bellowing my name. "JIMIN, WAIT UP!" I turned to see them, looking like they just ran a marathon, drenched in sweat.
"Y-You really move at lightning speed." Hoseok gasped, both he and Yoongi doubled over, trying to catch their breath.
Apologies slipped from my lips, and they responded with a thumbs up, clearly too winded to say much. It took them a moment to regain their composure, but when they finally did, they shot me a fierce glare, which only made me smirk in return.
"Alright, take a look over there." Hoseok instructed, and I turned my gaze to the other side of the street. What greeted my eyes was likely the fanciest shopping mall in all of Seoul, so posh that I felt like a penny in a piggy bank.
"Please tell me you're not actually planning to take me there?" I asked, my voice trembling. They nodded in response, and I cast my gaze downward, feeling the sting of tears beginning to form. It was all just too overwhelming.
"Absolutely! We've been thinking about it for a while, and then we remembered you mentioned the name of your bakery in the group chat a while back. So, we thought it would be perfect to swing by just before your shift ends and whisk you away for lunch." I lifted my eyes to meet theirs, tears on the brink of spilling over.
In an instant, they panicked and wrapped their arms around me, offering comfort from both sides.
I managed a small, "I'm fine," though my sniffles betrayed me. They weren't buying it, and just as they released me from their embrace, Yoongi stepped forward. He gently held my face in his hands, using his thumbs to brush away the tears I hadn't even noticed were streaming down my cheeks.
"Hey there, sweetheart." Yoongi murmured, placing a soft kiss on my forehead. His lips lingered there for a full ten seconds, and I couldn't help but smile shyly up at him. I sniffled again, and this time, Hoseok leaned in to plant a kiss on my cheek, playfully exaggerating the mwah sound, which made me giggle.
"Now that's more like it! Let's go grab some food." He said. I nodded eagerly, linking my arms with theirs as we strolled across the street, grateful that the traffic lights were red.
As we entered the mall, I was struck by the vibrant atmosphere, my eyes wide with wonder at everything around me. "Incredible, right?" Yoongi murmured softly in my ear, his smooth voice sending delightful chills through me. I simply nodded in response.
"Time to grab a bite! I'm absolutely famished." Hoseok exclaimed, patting his stomach. He took my hand, and upon realising how tiny it was, he let out an excited squeal. I felt my cheeks flush a bright crimson as I laughed.
♡YOONGI'S PERSPECTIVE♡
As Hoseok took Jimin's hand and began to lead him toward the glass elevator in the mall, I trailed behind them, a smile spreading across my face, not just for Jimin but for Hoseok too. I won't deny it; I might be starting to have a crush on Hoseok as well, though I'm still figuring it out.
It definitely feels that way, and honestly, I'm totally okay with it.
I was so lost in my own thoughts that I didn't realise Hoseok and Jimin had already made it to the top. It wasn't until Jimin hollered down at me, "YO, HYUNG! GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, WE ARE ABOUT TO EAT OUR OWN ARMS OVER HERE!" I laughed to myself and made my way to the elevator. I pressed the button, and the doors opened right away. Stepping inside, I leaned against the railing as the elevator began its ascent.
I finally made it to the top floor, only to be playfully tackled as if I were in a rugby game. "Took you long enough!" Hoseok teased, throwing an arm around my shoulder as the three of us strolled into the restaurant that my older brother, Min Geumjae owns. I had suggested this place to Hoseok before we went to pick up Jimin, but I kept my brother's ownership a secret. The staff had never seen him in the two years since the restaurant opened; they only knew their boss as Mr. Min.
He enjoys wrapping himself in a shroud of mystery, leaving others curious and captivated.
As we stepped into the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess, Bae Joohyun. "Is it a table for three, or should I expect more guests?" She enquired with a friendly smile.
"Just the three of us, thank you." I replied. A hint of colour rose to her cheeks as she led us to a cosy table in the secondary dining area, conveniently located near the open kitchen where the delightful scents of various dishes wafted through the air.
"Here's your menu. Feel free to take your time choosing, and I'll be back shortly to take your orders." Joohyun said with a bright smile before heading off to assist other patrons. I couldn't help but feel pleased with our choice of hostess for the evening.
We each picked up a menu and began to explore the offerings. The selection featured a delightful mix of Asian dishes, along with a touch of European and African flavours.
Hoseok suggested, "Since I'm treating everyone to dinner at my parent's restaurant later, how about we focus on the lunch menu for now?" Jimin and I nodded in agreement. I noticed Jimin gasping at the prices, which made me chuckle softly as I reached over to pull the menu away from his face.
"Don't stress about the prices, sweetheart. Just choose whatever you like." I reassured him. Jimin gave a shy nod and began to scan the options again, and I followed suit. "I've made my choice." Hoseok announced, flipping the menu face down on the table.
"Same here." I chimed in, glancing at Jimin, who was sticking his tongue out in deep thought. We exchanged warm smiles, finding his concentration adorable.
"Ugh, I can't decide!" He groaned, prompting a light chuckle from Hoseok and me, which only made his cheeks turn a shade of pink.
As the clock ticked on, Jimin finally settled on his meal and drink of choice. Just then, we heard the familiar sound of footsteps drawing near—it was Joohyun, returning to take our orders. We shared our cravings with her, and she diligently jotted down each item, recapping our selections to ensure nothing slipped her mind.
We began chatting among ourselves, fully savouring the moment. I couldn't wish for anything more at this point, and I'm sure Hoseok and Jimin would feel the same way.
