"Lucy, it's barely December," Tim complained as he dragged the fake Christmas tree box through the living room.

"Exactly, it's Christmas time now," Lucy smiled, hauling in a plastic bin full of ornaments.

"I'm 100% certain there are still no decorations set up at the station,"

"Well, this isn't the station. In the apartment, it's Christmas time!"

Tim rolled his eyes. "Whatever."

Lucy happily watched Tim as he set up her new fake Christmas tree. She began digging through boxes looking for her favorite ornaments, specifically the one Tim had given her the year before.

"This tree is so much nicer than my last tree," Lucy said, digging through boxes. "I don't even have to put lights on, it came with lights already on it!"

"You mean I don't have to put lights on it," Tim rolled his eyes. "You always make me do it."

"Oh yeah," Lucy giggled. "You're welcome."

Tim sighed as he helped Lucy go through her boxes looking for her ornaments, and of course, they found it in the last box they were going through.

"You should really label your boxes," Tim muttered, pulling out the bag of ornaments.

"I will, I will," Lucy said. Except, Tim knew she wouldn't. She said that every year.

"I'm going to go hang up your wreath," Tim said, getting up off the floor.

In the past two years of dating Lucy, Tim knew better than to mess with Lucy and her ornament hanging. She became a different person when the same color ornaments were hung next to each other.

An hour later, Lucy's tree was decorated, her wreath was hung, and Tim and Lucy were cuddled up on the couch.

"We forgot to put up the stockings," Lucy said, jumping off the couch.

She dug through one of the boxes and pulled out two stockings.

"I have a stocking this year?" Tim asked half sarcastically.

"It even has your name on it," Lucy smiled proudly.

"I'm honored," Tim said, fully sarcastic.

"Just for that, tomorrow after work we are decorating your house,"

"Lucy, no,"

"We can use all the leftover decorations from my apartment," Lucy grinned. "We can even get you a real tree."

"Absolutely not,"

"You are such a grinch," Lucy said, hanging up their stockings. "You're getting a box of coal for christmas."

"I should be so lucky," Tim muttered.

"Hm...maybe we should offer your house to host the station Christmas party this year," Lucy gasped.

"No," Tim said. "I'm not decorating and destroying my house for the whole station to come over."

"I'm sure Grey would love that you're in the Christmas spirit," Lucy teased.

"Keep this up and I'm returning your gift,"

"No, I'm sorry," Lucy pleaded, jumping back onto the couch.

"That's what I thought," Tim grinned.
