"There is someone I want you to meet." Annabeth tells me, so we walked down the path and into the armory. A tall guy with messy black hair had his back turned when Annabeth yelled, "Percy!" She ran over to him and tackled him with a hug.

"Hey Annabeth! You back from your extraction!" He smiled.

"Oh, your  Percy!" I walked up to them and smiled. Annabeth seemed a lot happier now that she was with her boyfriend, I've never seen her like this.

"This is Lina. The one Grover found." Annabeth explained.

"Um... The one Grover found?" I asked.

"I'll explain later." She said.

She always said that.

After I had a proper introduction to Percy, Annabeth and I left to make sure I get a proper tour of the camp.

Annabeth decided that we should attempt to find a weapon that I will use.
I tried a spear, an axe, a sword, and finally a dagger.

"Most people don't use a dagger because they have a short range of attack." Annabeth told me.

As I expected, it felt uncomfortable and unbalanced in my hands.

"No thanks." I decided. "There has to be something I am good at."

I was so angry that I wasn't good at anything at this camp. I threw the dagger across the room in frustration.

THUD!
It hit one of the archery targets dead center.

"Oh, my gods!" Annabeth marveled. "Do that again!"

I picked up another one of the knives sitting on the table and propelled it out of my hands and it hit the center of the target.

"Holy shit!"

I picked up another dagger and threw it, once again, dead center.

"Wow!" Annabeth looked me, her eyes glanced down at my hand. "Hey! Can I have your ring for a second?" She asked.

I had no idea what she was talking about, but I knew she was up to something. I slipped the bronze band off my finger and placed it in her hands.
She studied the side of the ring, "there is ancient Greek on here." She noted.

She stuck the ring in front of my face and somehow, I could read the ancient Greek symbols.

"Wow... I've never noticed that before."

"Tap the ruby." Annabeth ordered.

"What?"

"I think it may be a magic item, tap the ruby." Annabeth handed me the ring and took a step back.

I tapped the ruby with my finger, and in my hands the ring shapeshifted into a short bronze knife.

"What th-"

"I told you!" Annabeth smirked. I held the blade in my hand, for once, it felt balanced.

"Cool!"

"What's it called?" Annabeth asked curiously. I read the ancient Greek inscriptions on the handle, it said;

"Slaughter."

We walked up and down the pathway in front of the cabins, to see which one I thought that I belonged to.
Annabeth said that Apollo and Demeter were definitely out of the question, which made sense, considering most people wouldn't refer to me as a ball of sunshine.

We walked up to the front of the Hermes Cabin.

"This is where you'll be staying until your godly parent claims you." Annabeth explained.

"How long will that take?" I asked cautiously.

Annabeth didn't meet my eyes, "you should have already been claimed, but it could a long time..."

Annabeth opened Cabin 11's door, inside, tones of kids in orange t-shirts were running around screaming and yelling.

"Oi! Everyone! This is Lina, she'll be staying here until she's claimed." Annabeth called. Everyone groaned and looked at me. I felt a little bit self-conscious, but then big Hispanic boy with black hair and brown eyes stood forward.

"I'm Chris. Acting head counselor for the Hermes Cabin while Mason is away."

"Ok." I said expressionlessly. I couldn't be bothered to learn everyone's names. They all looked so similar.

"Lina!" Annabeth nudged me, "be nice!"

"Fine." I mumbled.

"My name is Lina." I spoke loud enough for the whole cabin to hear.

A series of groaning a muttering came from the campers.

Well, this will be fun.

Annabeth and I left the cabin and walked towards the stables.

"Oh! I forgot to tell you! Capture the flag will be on Thursday." She smiled.

"What's capture the flag?"

Annabeth spent the next 10 minutes describing and explaining every detail about how to play Capture the flag.

"Ok. So, what team will I be on?" I asked.

"Depends, if you are still unclaimed, you'll be with Hermes, Apollo, Athena, and Poseidon. So you'll be with me and Percy." She explained. "And the rest of the cabins like, Ares, Demeter, Aphrodite, and all that will be on the other team."

"Who's that kid Mason? From Hermes cabin, Chris said he was 'away'? I asked, intrigued.

"He's on a quest, should be back in a few days." Annabeth replied.

"Where to?"

"Some small thing, Chiron had to deliver something to Olympus, and he wanted to make sure it had a safe passage." Annabeth said.

"What's Olympus?"
