Hello and welcome to my book! I do hope that you enjoy it as much as I have/am writing it and that you help me know that by showing your support; by voting or commenting.
This has taken me a lot of time and effort to be able to even begin writing so I am very sorry if I don't have many updates.
Oh and by the way, this chapter is shit but it will get better by the third chapter so just bear with me.
Have a great day 💛🌺

•••I close the trunk of the cab and knock on the roof, letting them know I've got my things. Once I've gotten my suitcase and backpack up the steps, I scramble through my bag to find the keys, hysterical thoughts running through my mind.
Great, you've flown all the way from New York and forgotten your keys?! You dumbass, the landlord is gonna be so pissed now.
I eventually find the set of keys at the bottom of my gum wrappers and receipts, the cold metal digging into my palm relieving my worries. I drag my things up to the top floor, something that I now regret; I'm gonna kill myself after carrying groceries up here.
Once I unlock the door,I immediately kick my shoes off and dump my bags by the door, a smile reaching my lips at the sight of my apartment.
It's mine, all mine. I can do whatever the fuck I want here.
I pull the door to my left open and see a rather new bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink; everything is white and clean. I head to the next door, knowing that it leads to my bedroom.
Locking the door behind myself, I take a few steps and enter the kitchen and living room that has a small separation wall in between. I struggle with opening the balcony door however I'm rewarded with a gust of cool air, cooling me down after the climb up the flights of stairs.
Rather quickly, I take a quick look into my bathroom - which is simple and clean - and the bedroom. There are a couple large windows that pour the early rays of sunshine into my room, my mind filling with ideas on how to improve it.
Okay, remember to phone up the moving company and tell them to hurry the fuck up. Also, thank the landlord, I tell myself.
Heading back to the living room, I throw myself on the couch that my landlord kindly let me have. I almost immediately pass out due to the exhaustion from my travelling.

Slowly waking up, I'm refreshed by the breeze coming through the balcony so I spring up and decide to unpack my suitcase of all of my personal belongings. Dragging my two suitcases, duffel bag and backpack, I sort my clothes and toiletries into piles.
Soon enough, I've put my toiletries and other objects in the bathroom - for example, straighteners and makeup; the only thing left to do is arranging my clothes in the built-in closet. I finish that and decide to give myself a well-deserved shower before heading to the grocers to pick up some things.

With two bags of groceries and some needed bathroom items, I head out of the store and begin my journey back home since my car hasn't been brought here yet. Checking google maps once more, I take a few turn until I reach a path that goes towards my house whilst passing some scenic houses and apartments - basically, the walk is roughly forty minutes.
