I open my eyes from my short nap and all I have in my mind is when Taylor will land. Since Nashville, all I have wanted to do is apologise profusely for leaving and just make sure we're okay. So now I sit with my feet on top of my suitcase with a small, hopeful lift of my lips as I listen to the announcements.
Please, please, please let it be Taylor's.
I hear the lady say for the passengers from Nashville to go to the number three luggage belt. I feel my heart lurch in my chest as I realise I'm about to see Taylor - two weeks of only calls can only do so much.
I wait for a quarter of an hour, standing on my toes to look over the people entering. I eventually spot brown curls amongst the heads, a smile instantaneously pulls my lips upward. With jittering hands, I pull my suitcase behind me as I jog over to him. Taylor sees me and a smile immediately lights up his face as he outstretched his arm.
I pull him into a tight hug after leaving my case behind me, the contact is something I've missed over the couple weeks. His heart pounds against my upper chest as we sway side to side, a laugh escaping the two of us. I soon pull away and grin at him. I'm so genuinely happy in this moment that I've forgotten about my previous doubts of his reaction.
"That was a surprise." Taylor laughs, fixing his cap. I cover my face, laughing softly behind my hands, a blush now spreading across my cheeks. Taylor pulls my hands away and beams down at me before pulling me in for another hug.
"It's only been a couple weeks." I tease as I move my arms from his waist to his chest. He shrugs, a slight pink tint rising to his cheeks. I smile up at him and say, "But I've missed you too. And I want to say sorry."
"Don't be stupid, you don't need to apologise."
I roll my eyes but don't push it any further since I know we'll argue about this for a while. Instead, I grab the handle of my suitcase and his hand to take him to the luggage belt. There, we chat about what we did in the past weeks whilst waiting for his things. He went to visit Zac and his brothers, as well as his parents, he enjoyed the stay in Nashville overall. Soon, his suitcase arrives so the two of us leave the airport.
Taylor checks his phone before leading me to the side where a man with Taylor's name is standing. Greeting him, he takes us to a van where he puts our luggage in the back. The two of us climb into the vehicle and I make myself comfortable by putting my music on, Taylor placing an earphone in his ear, but not before giving me a quick smile.
I look outside the window of the van excitedly, the scenery is amazing with the flowers lining the roads and people walking in summer clothes. I spot a couple of people who look like they're gonna go on the cruise as they have small passes round their necks and two cases between them.
We eventually pull up outside a small cafe by the beach and the two of us get out. Thanking he driver, we both walk up the small set of stairs. The van pulls out and drives off down the street, probably to the ship.
Inside, we see Hayley and Chad on a couch by some large windows. The place is quaint with its light blue walls and beach-themed decoration. There's a buzz in this place, probably because a lot of young people are in here.
Hayley squeals when she sees me, jumping up from her seat on the couch to tackle me into a bear hug. I laugh as I hug her with as much love. I really did miss her, she's the one friend I have round here, in La. And damn, without the two of them I got really low.
