"So how's your band?" I ask casually in an attempt to mask how ecstatic I am talking to the Zac Farro. We both stand in the living room, along with the other guests, with an alcoholic drink in our hands.

"Really good, thanks for asking." He says before taking a sip of his cider. "So you're a friend of Taylors?"

"Well, I hope so." I laugh a little, raising my eyes to see Taylor talking to a couple people on the couch. "He arranged this with Hayley, and possibly Jeremy. He's been really sweet to me."

"That's Taylor."

I see him coming towards us and I flick my eyes back to Zac with brows raised. "Speak of the devil."

"Hey man." Taylor says, pulling Zac into a hug. Zac pats his back and the two pull apart, a smile on both of their lips.

"Dude, I haven't seen you in ages. How's it been?"

"I've been doing good. You?" Taylor says, standing beside me. I drink some of my cider and lean against the wall.

"Great, actually."

They bring me back into the conversation and we chat for a few minutes about various subjects. I soon excuse myself and brush past Taylor to the doors that are open to the garden. Stepping out, I exhale in relief as I'm out of the crowded room.

I glance to my left to see a few people, who I don't recognise, dancing. One guy turns round and I recognise him as Brian - Hayley's best friend - so I smile and wave.

I wander to the pool, where a couple loungers are placed, and sit down on one. I lean back and watch the stars, the only sounds being the people laughing behind me and the soft music from the house.

A sad smile reaches my lips when I find Orion's Belt, the three stars symbolising my small group of important people - Emily, Astraea and I. I wonder what they're doing in this instant; I assume that Astraea's probably at a concert in New York and my sister is out and about with her boyfriend.

I'm brought out of my reverie at the sound of someone coughing behind me. I immediately sit up, swinging my legs round and fix my dress. I roll my eyes when I see it's Taylor, knowing he would eventually see how I was doing.

"Out here alone?" He asks, his eyes meeting mine and sending a soft shiver down my spine. I gesture to my surroundings with a sigh.

"As you can see, I'm rather popular at the moment. Sorry, I'm busy."

He chuckles with a roll of his eyes. I tuck my hair behind my ear and pat the lounger in front of me. "You can have a seat."

"Thanks." He says rather stoically. He sits, his hands clasped together which causes him to look quite serious. "Are you alright?"

I hold our eye contact with my brows furrowed in confusion. I nod, "Yeah, why?"

"You came out here alone. If that's not a reason to ask then I don't know what is."
