I'M Just a Human

what next?

After Alex tried to convince Elizabeth to escape the military, he went to his mother and tried to figure out what was going to happen to her.

Emily: Oh, here you are! I was looking for you. ( smiling). Tell me where you were? With Elizabeth again?

Alex: You know it, I love to spend time with her, especially when I know she is leaving soon. Actually, mom, I'm worried for her.

Emily: Oh god, here we go again, I knew this was going to happen, so from the beginning, I asked your grandfather not to make you involved in this, but he did. My lovely boy, she is going to be fine, she is different from us. And I'm sure you will move on from her and you will fall in love with another girl who is human and normal. So stop making it a big deal!

Alex: Mom, what are you even saying? How can you be like this? You and grandfather brought her here, thought her how she could have emotions, now she has feelings, and you are saying nothing going to happen to her?
I believe joe and leah could take care of her better. At least at that moment, she couldn't feel anything, so no emotional damage could happen to her, but now she is like us! She feels everything ! (Shouting)

Emily: How dare you raise your voice at me and give your ideas about something that's not related to you at all?

Alex: Do you even know how does it feels to know you have a mother who is involved in all the projects that are against human rights? You think I don't know how many people died because of your experiment? Which even grandfather wasn't involved in it?
Tell me, mom, what liam is going to do to her this time? How about her coach ? What is he going to do?

Emily: Now I can see why you are saying all of these. You heard me on the phone.
I asked him to improve her abilities, and that's it. I don't know what you think I'm doing, but I'm just letting you know I wouldn't do anything that she can't go through it. Now I think I answered your question.  Your father will come and take you to our house. There is no need for you to be here anymore. Go and pack your stuff.

Alex: I'm 18 years old now, I'm not a kid anymore to control me like a house pet! I will not go anywhere as long as she is here.

Emily: Are you out of your mind? I'm your mother! How can you talk to me like that ?( Shouting )

Joseph heard their voice from upstairs, so he went down to the kitchen where Emily and Alex were fighting to see what the problem is.

Joseph: Hey, what is going on here? What happened to you guys? This is the first time I've seen you two arguing . Tell me, Alex, what happened to you?

Emily: it is something between me and him dad. Keep yourself away from my family issues!

Joseph : Since when I'm not involved in anything which is related to you? I don't remember? By the way, I'm asking Alex, not you!

Turn his face towards Alex and said:
Let's discuss the issue in my office, Alex. I believe we need to talk alone without your mother being around. ( looking side eye at emily)

After they went to the office, Joseph asked Alex to sit down, and then he continued:

I believe you know something that I don't know. First, let me tell you what I know about you and Elizabeth. Obviously, you love her, and she doesn't know that, I don't know if she can feel love yet or not, but I know she felt something special about you which Is not love yet. Now you can't tolerate that she is going from this house and she will not come back here again. Also, I heard that you told your mother that you heard something about the coach and liam, which they are going to do more experiments on her in the military, and I shouldn't be aware of it. Am I right so far?

Alex: Yes, grandfather.

Joseph: Tell me something, Did you hear what type of experiments they were talking about ?

Alex: Unfortunately, no.

Joseph: I see. Your mother is going out of my control.  But let me tell you something, boy, emily is mad that I let you and Elizabeth get close to each other, so now she wants to take her revenge from me by maybe getting hard on Elizabeth. She is like, "You hurt me now, I will hurt you, father." I know her very well. What I'm going to do now is replace her coach with someone else and send one of my people to report me whatever is happening over there for Elizabeth. I will not let Elizabeth go like this if that's what you thought.
Now I wanna suggest something to you, you should keep your emotions under your control. I know you tried, but you see now how everybody noticed that you love her? You gave showed your weakness to everybody. That's not what I expected my grandson. Try to act like you don't care about her, but from inside, try for her, and take care of her.

Alex: Grandfather, can you please tell me what Elizabeth means to you? I don't get it. You let liam continue his experiments on her, and now you are saying you won't let anybody hurt her. Why won't you let her be?

Joseph: liam was the only one who could help her to live longer. Otherwise, her speed of growth would kill her. Right now, she would be a 50 years old woman rather than a 15 years old teenager if liam wouldn't make that cure for her.
Even I don't know how I feel about her. In the beginning, she was only a project for me, and I wanted to see the progress only, but after she moved to this house and I treated like a family with her, now she is more than a project and I don't want to lose her as a human who I grow up not as a project which I was investing on it. I hope you get what I'm saying.

Alex : I got my answer. I will try to listen to what you said and control my emotions, but I don't want to go back to my house. Can you at least convince my mother?

Joseph: I will try, If I were you now, I would spend more time with Elizabeth as she is going. Now go and help her to pack her stuff. I will talk to your mother.
