Bellamy's POV
A jet black paintball rifle sits in my hand as Clarke and I lean against a wet boulder. It sounds scary but I feel very comfortable with a gun in my hand. Also strapped to my leg my small pistol, ready loaded for when I need it. Quiet chatter sounds on the walkie talkies that each group has.
"Alpha team, are you in position?" I say. Finn's deep voice speaks back to me.
"Alpha are in position. It was harder than we thought getting on the roof and some tree's are in the way, but we still get a good vantage point. This was a good idea", he replies.
"Yeah, snipers were a good idea Princess. But how did you know what a sniper was?" Clarke blushes under her face paint.
"I may or may not have done this before". In shock, I spin to gave her.
"Clarke Griffin, princess by day- badass by night", I tease. We both laugh to our teams annoyance.
"Would you two stop being adorable and lead your team", Octavia cuts us off."Yeah sorry. I know your scared and you have every right to be. Being shot at isn't exactly fun. The grounders take this way too seriously and you may get hurt. But the pride you feel when we win, and we will win, will outweigh that. Our enemy thinks that because we come from the city we won't win. They always forget that this is our camp, our home. And we are grounders!!", I shout down the walkie talkie. Everyone cheers except some little kids who look terrified. Octavia is just laughing.
"You make it sound like we are marching into war", Clarke states.
Everyone resumes their casual chatter whereas I scan the lake.
An hour later, small lights begin to break through the dark night. There are 4 boats, all loaded with grounders.
"Everyone shut up. There here", I say.
"Bravo team don't shoot until I say", Clarke states. Quietly as possible, the grounders unload their boats and stealthily creep onto the shoreline.
"Wait. Wait. Wait. Shoot", Clarke whispers as soon as our enemy are in range. Pellets start whizzing through the air. Grounders stare startled as their overalls go from grey to yellow. The first wave trudge to the dead zone, but some keep pushing forward and hide behind rocks. Gradually, they progress far enough forward for the snipers to take aim. Though their numbers are dwindling, the grounders break through the forest li e and most of our defense scatters.
"Delta go", I shout and our group sprints behind the grounders, hitting most straight away. Then everything falls apart. Everyone runs into the forest, forcing us to chase after them. I reach and grab Clarke's hand and drag her behind me. We chase after Lexa, the leader. Running towards the cabins, I lose sight of her.
"Belly what do we do?" People ask down the walkie talkies.
"Pair up and go after one person", I answer.
"Do you see her?" Clarke asks.
"No, I don't see anything".
"I see two lovebirds that are about to get shot". Turning on our heels, Lexa stands with her gun trained on us.
"Drop your weapons and kick them away", she orders. A burly man steps behind her.
"Gustus take their guns". Seeing an opportunity, I lunge and punch Gustus in the nose. He doesnt crumple, but spears me to the floor. A barrage of punches roll into my chest. With a lot of effort, I kick the tall man into his back and return the favour. Vigorously I punch his face over and over. Beside me Clarke is beating Lexa. In the chaos, something is thrown that hits Clarke straight in the chest. Princess collapses and Lexa hobbles into the forest.
"Shit, that hurt", Clarke groans.
"What did she throw?" I ask.
"A rock", she mumbles. I lift her top and see blood.
"Oh god! Your bleeding! What do I do?" No answer.
"Clarke!?" Her eyes open slowly.
"I'm just gonna take a nap", she croaks. Then her eyes drop and I can't wake her.Hello Wattpad!! Sorry it's late -again. I am such a bad author. I hope you guys like the zero dark thirty style and then the quote from Bellamy's speech. Will update sooner next time. Love you chummies!!!
