Clarke's POV

The next few days fly by like they always do at the end of summer. It's as if some evil force wants me to suffer the long months until I see my boyfriend. I wake up on Saturday morning and look to my left. Sleeping peacefully, Bellamy's jaw look's even more chiselled in the morning light. I take in all of his features: the freckles splattered across his cheeks, his messy black hair, his soft lips and the way his mouth forms that familiar smirk in his sleep. I now only have three nights left to fall asleep in his arms. Only three more mornings where I can wake up to such a great view. Thinking of life back home and how lonely I'll be brings tears to my eyes. But summer never lasts forever.

Bellamy's eyes flicker open and he stretches.                                                                              "Morning Princess", he says.
"Morning Belly button", I reply.
"Belly button? Really?", he chuckles.                                                                                                       "Well I thought you needed a nickname too. So it's either that or Belly bear", I explain.        "Belly bear. Not Belly button". He pulls me closer and I lean in. We kiss until Octavia breaks in.
"Ew get a room. Come on you too get up, we need to get ready for the party tonight", she demands. I roll over and throw myself out of bed. Since the party needs to be set up later, O, Raven and I skip breakfast and go straight to the shopping centre to find outfits. I buy and short dungarees and crop top for the party tonight, whilst Octavia and Raven choose leather numbers. Then we head to McDonalds for brunch.                                                                                     "So Raven, have you still not found a guy?" I ask.                                                                                   "No. And at this rate I'll probably be forever alone", she responds.                                                    "Don't say that. Your only 17, someone will turn up", O tells her.                                                            "That's easy for you to say. You've already found your prince charming", she sighs. "What are you going to do when summer's over and Lincoln moves back to the opposite side of the country?", she adds, changing the subject. "Well, Bell and I are going to help Clarke clean out her house and Lincoln doesn't live too far from there, so I can visit him then. Other than that, does pining in my room in bed count?" she answers. We all laugh.

A few hours later and we're back at camp. A few decorations have already been laid out by the front gate, whilst campers work tentatively in the mess hall. The older counsellors relieve them of their duties and take them for a swim whilst the older campers and younger counsellors apply the finishing touches, before getting ready ourselves. In our cabin, I notice that Bellamy is no where to be found. And the same goes for the rest of the boys. The only trace of him is the note on our bed, written in his scruffy writing.

Princess,

Meet by the lake pontoon an hour before the party. I'll be waiting.

Belly bear.

The party starts at 8 and it's already 7.15.                                                                                                      "Why do you always do this to yourself Clarke?!" I mutter to myself. Like a women possessed, I scramble into my new clothes and throw on some make-up. Instead of fancy heels, I settle for my tattered converse, seeing as the party is more casual than formal. Then I sprint to the pontoon and arrive with seconds to spare. Suprisingly, Bellamy isn't the only one waiting. All of our friends are gathered at the lakeside. I frown, disappointed that Bellamy and I can't spend the sunset together.
"Try not to look too happy to see us Clarke" Jasper teases.                                                                  "What's going on?" I say.                                                                                                                                      "Jaha wants us to be the welcome wagon for our guests, so we decided to meet early. A sort of goodbye gathering before the end of camp", Bellamy tells me. From there, we all chat and laugh freely, without the need to act adult. And for a moment all worry of going home wipes away.

This is what camp is about. Being with my friends and Bellamy. Getting to be me for 3 months of the year.

Our moment is inerrupted when we hear a motor boat near. The grounders disembark and file onto the bank and suddenly, I'm faced with the last person I didn't want to see.

Lexa.
