Clarke's POV

The bus drivers gives me an apologetic look as I plod down the steps of the bus, laden will all of my belongings. I don't start college for a couple more weeks, which means I must endure 14 full days in my parents house. I rustle around for my key and open the front door. Inside, everything is exactly how my parents left it. My dad's paper and half drank coffee lay on the dining table and my mothers scrubs are hung on the line outside. The only real difference is that no ones home. And they won't ever come back. It'll just be me wandering these lonely halls for the rest of my life.I sink to the floor, in amongst all of the unopened mail, and cry.

Then I realize how crazy I look, sat in the doorway with the door open, crying. So I stand up, shut the door and go to cry in my bed instead. But the bed reminds me of camp, and camp reminds me of Bellamy, so I shower. Once I'm done, I go over to my dresser to get out the pyjama's I'll live in for the next few weeks. There, sat proudly atop the dresser, are several pasta photoframes that hold pictures of my previous camps. And in allof them, there's Bellamy.

"Why? Why did you have to be so perfect? If you were an asshole it wouldn't hurt this much.  You were all I ever wanted and I fell for you. And now your with her and I should hate you. But I don't, I just want you back", I sob at the pictures. Then I pause as if I expect his strong arms to cme from the photo and embrace me, and then hear his soft voice calm me.

Instead, I get blank stares from a picture of time gone by.

Bellamy's POV

It's the last day of camp which means clean up day. Lincoln and I do constant rounds of the campers cabin, making sure the cabins are cleaned and everything is packed before the kids parents come at midday. The older campers have become prefficient at it, so end up dropping all of our extra food at the shelters before locking up the storage units.
At midday everything gets busier. Children all rush back to me for their final hug until next summer and at one point, I have 6 girls all squeezing my legs. However, all I can think about is Clarke. She'd probably say something sarcastic like 'Seems I've got some competition'. I look over my shoulder, hoping to see her bright blonde hair beside me. But she's not. Instead, she's on the other side of the country and I'm stuck with Octavia.

"How you doing big brother?" She sighs.

"I miss her so much. What am I going to do O?" I mumble.

"Call her", she urges.

"You didn't see the look on her face O. She looked at me like I'm the one who killed her parents. I know it wasn't my fault, but imagine how it looked for her. I owe her more than a phone call. And that bitch Lexa gets to carry on like nothing happened", I spit.

"What's a bitch?" Ella, the 7 year old girl currently wrapped around my waist, asks.

"It's German for lovely lady, Ella", O covers.

"Oh, I'm going to call my mum that right now", she says, before sprinting back to her parents.

"Well, shit. Now I'm getting fired", I grunt.

"Sorry. Look Bell, Lincoln's invited me to his in a week. He doesn't live too far from Clarke. Come with me and then you can see her face to face, explain to her what really happened. Fix this. Because I'm not living with you when you just mope around like this", She instructs.
I nod, and the idea gets better and better the longer I think about it. Eventually, everyone leaves, include a teary goodbye with our friends. O takes 20 minutes to say goodbye to Lincoln, but he plumps herself into the car. I turn on the engine and roll down the drive. I increase speed on the interstate, but then I see a sign for New York.

"Hey O. How long do you think you could stay in this car with me?" I ask.

"Maybe 20 hours, like that time we drove from LA to Washington state for winter", she replies.

"Stretch it to 22?" I plead.

"Why?" She asks.

"You said Lincoln invited us to his next week. Why don't we go now? We have all of our clothes with us anyway. So, let's go now".
