Clarke's POV

The hot water runs down my face. I decided to get in the shower fully clothed to clean them at the same time, but it also means they are soaked.
The heat makes me relax and my thoughts drift to Bellamy. Every cell in my body explodes when I see his smirk and the chemistry we share is electric. When my mum died, he was their for me every step of the way, guiding me and supporting me. He was my knight in shining armour. And, not that I have told anyone, but I kinda sort of fancy him. His looks are incredible, but its the guy underneath that I have really fallen for. Needless to say that it took me a while to pull down his tough guy façade, but when I broke through I realised I was wrong. Bellamy really was a good guy.
"Hello! Clarke, are you in hear?" Octavia's voice pierced my peaceful shower. I step out and strip, peeling the wet clothes off of my body.
"In here O!" I call back. Stepping out of the bathroom, O is sat on my bed. We chat about our Christmas and school while I get dressed. As I pull on my new counselors T-shirt a wave of pride hits me.
"Oh no, we're late. C'mon let's go!" Octavia shouts, dragging me behind her. We both sprint towards the communal fire, where all 75 counselors and campers are gatheresd around a flickering fire. Marshmallows are passed round and quiet chatter settles in camp. The older campers all sit and exchange banter. At around 9, counselor Jaha steps onto a high boulder and calls for silence.
"Welcome back campers, I hope you have settled in well. Over the next 6 weeks, you will be partaking in many activities a d the annual camp games against the grounders. As always, your counselors will guide you all the way. Counselor Kane, counselor Jackson, me and two new counselors; Counselors Bellamy Blake and Clarke Griffin", cheers erupt from the crowd. Many kids come up and greet us. Its a weird feeling considering some of the kids had been at camp the same years I was still a camper. Knowing that I'm now going to be leading them is very odd.
"Here's to another great year, Arkers". Everyone raises their cups of juice and then goes back to their cabins. Unfortunately, everyone else's cabin is on the other side of camp so I have to walk back on my own. I trudge through the mud, then hear some squelching behind me.
"Walking in the woods on your own, princess. Have you ever seen cabin in the woods?" Bellamy states.
"Yes, but I'm not on my own. Your here". Bellamy chuckles. I see his famous smirk and can't help but smile back. Hopefully, he can't see it in the dark. When we are in the xlearing by our cabins, curiosity and love goes to my head and the words jusjust spill out.
"So did you meet anyone over the holidays?"
"You mean romantically? No", he answers. I'm surprised because he isn't bad looking.
"You'll find someone. She's out there somewhere", I reassure him. We stop just outside my tent and he looks me in the eye.
"Maybe she's closer than you think, goodnight". Without another word, he turns and walks back to his cabin. In bed, i cant think of anything but the conversation I just had. What did Bellamy mean 'she's closer than you think'? Does he mean someone in camp? My heart sinks when I think about the other girls in camp. Harper, Raven and Maya are all very pretty, prettier than me. I could never stand a chance against them for Bellamy's affection. For the remainder of the night all I can think about is Bellamy with his arm draped around another girl, and I don't like it.
