One month later...

Taehyung sat on his bed, his back against the headboard, holding Vkookie, tightly in his arms. Vkookie's big, round eyes looked up at his father with curiosity as Taehyung's face contorted in anguish.

This month had been a blur of tears, sleepless nights, and endless calls to Jungkook's phone. Calls that went unanswered, or worse, straight to voicemail. Taehyung's heart ached as he thought about the countless times he'd poured his heart out to Jungkook's voicemail, only to be met with silence. His tears began to fall as he buried his face in Vkookie's soft hair. "Daddy's sorry, baby," he whispered, his voice shaking with sobs. "Daddy's so sorry that Jungkook doesn't want to be a part of our lives. That he doesn't want to be with us."

Vkookie, sensing his father's distress, began to whimper and snuggle deeper into Taehyung's chest. Taehyung held him closer, feeling a mix of sadness and gratitude. Sadness that Jungkook was missing out on their son's life, and gratitude that he had Vkookie to hold onto.

As the tears streamed down his face, Taehyung couldn't help but wonder. Why Jungkook had pushed him away, and why he couldn't seem to move on. The pain of their broken relationship still felt like an open wound, and Taehyung didn't know how to heal it.

All he knew was that he had to keep moving forward, for Vkookie's sake. He took a deep breath, wiping his tears on his sleeve, and looked down at his son. "It's okay, baby," he whispered. "Daddy's here for you, and we'll get through this together."

AFTER SOMETIMES.

Taehyung's tears slowly subsided and he gazed at Vkookie's peaceful face. He adjusted his position, gently guiding Vkookie's head to his chest. Vkookie's eyes fluttered closed he rooted around, searching for comfort. As Vkookie nursed, Taehyung's thoughts drifted back to Jungkook. He wondered what Jungkook would say if he knew about Vkookie, about the little family they had created together.

Would Jungkook be proud? Would he want to be a part of their lives? he gazed down at Vkookie, feeling a surge of love and protectiveness. He knew that no matter what Jungkook decided, he would always be there for Vkookie, providing love, care, and support. Taehyung's heart swelled with emotion. He knew that he would always carry a piece of Jungkook with him, but he also knew that he had to move forward, for himself and for Vkookie.

TIME SKIPPED.

Just as Taehyung was starting to relax, the door to his room creaked open. Jin, walked in, his expression stern.

"Taehyung," Jin said, his voice firm. "One month is over. You know what that means."

Taehyung's heart sank as he realized what his father was referring to. Their agreement. The one where Taehyung had to bring home a man within a month, or else...

"I'm sorry, Father," Taehyung said, trying to stall.

Jin's expression turned cold. "Sorry isn't enough, Taehyung. You failed to bring home a man, and now it's time for us to fulfill our end of the agreement with Bogum."

Taehyung's eyes widened in horror as he clutched Vkookie tightly to his chest. "No, Father! Please!"

Jin's face remained unyielding. "Promise is promise, Taehyung. Now, come downstairs. It's time for the engagement ceremony with Bogum."

Taehyung felt like his world was crumbling around him. He looked down at Vkookie, who was still nursing peacefully.

Jin's voice cut through the air again. "And one more thing, Taehyung. Stop nursing Vkookie. You're getting married soon, and it's not proper for a married man to be nursing a child."

Taehyung's eyes flashed with anger and desperation, but Jin just turned and walked out of the room, leaving Taehyung feeling trapped and helpless.

Taehyung's face set in a determined expression as he looked down at Vkookie. "That's it," he whispered, his voice trembling with emotion. "That's the end of me and Jungkook being together."
