"Look, if Rafe and Barry know, it's only a matter of time," Kiara said.

"Before everyone knows," Pope finished.

"I told you," JJ snapped. "We should have just gone south, man. Why does no one ever listen?!"

"I get it, I get it," John B interrupted JJ's rant. "I understand."

"I have an idea," Sarah said. The group turned to look at the girl, finding her on the verge of tears. "With me back, my dad's going to have to choose between me and Rafe." John B looked nervously at her, opening his mouth to argue. "He's gonna choose me."
"Sarah, please, listen," John B said. "Ward keeps lying to you, Sarah."

"Sarah, he's not gonna agree after everything that's happened," Kie added.

"No, I–I know it sounds crazy," Sarah sighed.

"Yeah, it does."

"I know!" Sarah snapped, her lip quivering. "But he's my dad. And I know him, and I know he loves me. I'm just asking for two hours."

When no one said anything, she stood, tears escaping her eyes, and started walking away from the group.

John B sighed, following after her and beginning to speak to her in a hushed voice. A second later, the two of them were nodding to each other and Sarah was moving over to the HMS Pogue.

Then she was gone, out on the water, on her way to the Cameron house.

The other Pogues were left in tragic silence, trying to look on the bright side.

Not long after, the boat was coming right back to the beach.

As Sarah climbed out onto the beach, she had tears on her face.

"How'd it go?" John B asked.

Sarah shook her head. "You guys were right. It didn't work. Sorry."
"Welp," JJ announced loudly. "Then that settles it, guys. Now y'all need to load up in the paddy wagon, and get the heck out of Dodge right now."

"Right," Pope nodded. "You'll need supplies, and you'll have to split as soon as possible."

"Guys I think it's too late," Kiara said with wide eyes.

Cory swiveled her head, turning to look out to the water, where Kie had been looking. Approaching were several boats, the police sirens blaring.

"They followed you here," John B said. "Must have been your father."

"We're gonna have to find another way out of here," Pope said.

"Stay on the beach with your hands in the air!" A cop yelled.

"Go!" the Pogues immediately began yelling at each other, turning to run in the complete opposite direction of the water.

Cory followed, immediately becoming the tail end of the group. She stumbled as she ran, but her foot wasn't hurting as much as normal.

Once the group made it onto the other section of land, going in towards the woods, Cory turned back to see the cops running after them, rifles in hand.

They moved as quickly as they could, approaching another body of water.

The boys and Kie frequently turned back to check on Sarah and Cory, AKA the bullet wound club.

JJ waited in the water as the others went on, reaching up to grab onto Cory's waist and help her in.

Then, he followed after her as they swam across the water.
