___________🦋Doctor Soojin was examining her, but her eyes remained closed, unwilling to look at the screen. She didn't want to see it. She didn't want the baby, but she had no choice.
Namjoon sat beside her, holding her trembling hand, his gaze fixed on her face. He couldn't help but feel a deep ache in his chest, seeing how badly she was struggling.
She was trying so hard to stay composed, but he could see it, the tears she was holding back, the way her lashes were wet with unshed emotions.
In that moment, Namjoon wanted nothing more than to bury the person deep in the ground, who had caused her this pain. He wanted to make everything disappear, to take away all the hurt that seemed to fill her entire being.
"Look... there's the baby" Dr. Soojin said gently, pointing to the screen.
She didn't respond at first, her lips trembling as she whispered, "I don't want to" She kept her eyes tightly shut, her voice a mix of sorrow and defiance.
Dr. Soojin glanced at her, confused by her reaction, unable to understand why she wouldn't want to look at her own child.Soojin's eyes drifted over to Namjoon, who was staring intently at Y/N, his grip tightening slightly around her hand. Y/n felt his concern, but she didn't know how to face him. How could she tell him that she was terrified? That she was terrified of being a mother when she never knew what it felt like to be loved as a daughter?
Dr. Soojin continued, "l"You're about 10 weeks along" her voice softer now. She gave her a reassuring smile and clicked a picture of the screen. Namjoon didn't look at the image. Instead, he focused on Y/N, trying to read her expression, to understand what was going on inside her head.
Later, they sat together at Dr. Soojin's desk as she reviewed the reports. "The baby's fine, but she's very weak" Soojin said. "She needs multivitamins, protein, fruits, juices... healthy foods and try to avoid fast food."
She nodded absentmindedly, still lost in her thoughts. Namjoon, on the other hand, listened carefully, his protective instinct kicking in. He knew Y/N wasn't in the best condition, but he didn't know how to make her better.
He wanted to do everything he could, but he didn't know how to reach her, how to make her believe that things could be different for her.
When they left the hospital, She remained silent, her mind too full to process anything. She wanted to cry, but she didn't want to appear more weak in front of Namjoon. She didn't want him to see how much broken she really was.
Namjoon, however, seemed to know exactly what she needed. He drove to a mall, parking his bike in the lot in front. Her confusion was clear, but she didn't question him.
He led her inside and into a women's clothing store "Buy something for yourself," he said. "My clothes are too big on you."
She hesitated. "I... I'm okay. I have a hoodie, pants, and my uniform. I'll manage." She didn't want to take more from him, not when he had already given her so much, shelter, food, medicine. How could she ask for more?
