In morning, Y/N stirred slightly, stretching her arms before turning to the side expecting to feel the familiar warmth of Namjoon beside her. But as soon as her fingers brushed over the sheets, she realized they were cold. He was gone.
Her lips curled downward in disappointment. He had promised to stay with her yet he had left early. A small sigh escaped her lips as she sat up, rubbing her sleepy eyes. That’s when she noticed something on the bedside table....a small folded note.
Curious, she reached for it and carefully unfolded the paper, her heart already softening. She knew exactly what this was. Namjoon always left her little instructions his way of making sure she was taking care of herself even in his absence.
"Have your breakfast first, it's on the table."
A small smile tugged at her lips. He knew her too well.
She ran her fingers over the handwriting, feeling an inexplicable warmth in her chest. Even when he wasn’t physically present, he still found a way to take care of her. Holding onto that thought, she got out of bed and stretched before heading towards the bathroom.
After freshening up, she made her way to the dining table, and as expected, breakfast was already laid out neatly... a plate of warm food and a glass of fresh juice. She could almost picture him carefully preparing it, making sure it was something she’d like.
Sitting down, she picked up a spoon and took a bite, savoring the meal. It tasted like comfort. Like love.
Once she finished, she picked up her plate and made her way to the kitchen sink. But just as she reached for the faucet.her eyes landed on another small note stuck to the cabinet.
Her heart skipped a beat as she pulled it off and read it.
"Don't forget about the medicines."
Her smile widened, a soft chuckle escaping her lips. He was such a worrier when it came to her well-being, and yet, she loved every bit of it.
Placing the note gently on the counter she exhaled deeply. It was a small gesture but it made her feel so incredibly loved. Yet, a thought lingered in her mind why had he left so early? He had promised her he would stay. Did something urgent come up?
Meanwhile, across town, Namjoon was at the school, his expression firm but calm as he stood in front of a group of students. His eyes scanned their faces, searching for any sign of hesitation or fear.
He was here for one reason...to find out the truth about Ha-ri and her group.
However, most students refused to speak shaking their heads insisting she hadn’t done anything wrong. Their nervous glances and hesitant voices told him otherwise. He knew fear was stopping them from confessing. Ha-ri’s influence ran deep and the students were scared of the consequences.
