___________🦋Ha-ri didn't come to school today, and it was a relief for Y/N. After her classes, she hurried out, the cool breeze of the afternoon calming her racing thoughts.
She walked to the park and waited for Namjoon near the entrance, her gaze softening at the sight of children playing with their parents. Their laughter filled the air, innocent and carefree, a stark contrast to the turmoil in her heart.
She placed her hand on her stomach, caressing it gently. "I can't give you a father, but I'll try to be the best mother for you and a father too," she whispered to her unborn baby, a bittersweet smile tugging at her lips.
A sudden rumble of a motorcycle engine broke her thoughts. She turned and saw Namjoon waiting on his bike. He handed her a helmet, his eyes briefly meeting hers before she climbed on behind him. Wrapping her arms around his waist, she held tightly, not wanting to fall.
The bike sped down the road, the wind whipping past them, making her heart pound with a mix of fear and exhilaration. She squeezed him tighter, anxiety gnawing at her.
"Can't he just slow down?" she thought, clenching her jaw. Just as the thought formed, the bike slowed, almost as if he heard her silent plea. Her brow furrowed did she say that out loud?
Despite the fear, the warmth of holding him, her chest pressed against his back, sent a different kind of heat rushing through her. She closed her eyes, letting herself feel safe for the first time in a long while.
She rested her head against his back, savoring the rare sense of protection. "How does he make me feel this way?" she wondered, conflicted by the emotions swirling inside her. She knew she was falling for him, even though she couldn't allow herself to love anyone. No one would accept her after knowing the truth of her past.
When they arrived home, Namjoon went straight to work, checking assignments while she struggled with her homework, frustration bubbling inside her. One stubborn question on her homework had been tormenting her for hours.
She had tried solving it countless times, but each attempt led to the same incorrect answer. Her patience frayed, and with a groan of irritation, she threw the pen onto the notebook, the clatter echoing in the quiet room.
She stared at the scattered papers, her mind whirling, until an idea sparked. Wait... I'm in Namjoon's sir house. Of course! She could ask him for help.
She picked up the notebook and hesitated for a moment, biting her lip, unsure if it was a good idea. But desperation pushed her forward. She found him sitting at his desk, glasses perched on his nose, deeply focused on grading assignments.
"Sir" she began, her voice soft, almost hesitant. "I'm having trouble with this question... Can you help me?"
He looked up, his gaze meeting hers briefly before nodding. Without a word, he motioned for her to sit down. She settled on the floor with her notebooks spread out before her, feeling a strange mix of relief and apprehension.
