2. All I Want (Aru's POV)

"All I want is love that lasts..."

Aru boarded her private jet to New Jersey for rehearsals, scrolling on her phone.

And yes, private jet.

Since the breakup, her fame had grown exponentially high, which was both a good and bad thing. She started getting stalked, and she couldn't get on an airplane without being crowded by a mob of people.

So, she invested in a private jet, along with security.

"Heeeeyyyy, Dave." She said, popping into the cockpit.

"Aru, you're not supposed to be in here." he said sternly, not looking up from his navigational board.

"Fine. It's gonna be a long flight though, so I brought you some snacks."

She tossed him some Swedish Fish, which they shared a love for, along with some energy bars.

"The Swedish Fish is in a Ziploc and opened, so it'll be easier to eat when you're flying."

He looked up with a grateful smile. "Thanks. We'll be taking off in, like, thirty minutes give or take. I just need to check on some stuff."

"K. Thanks Dave."

"It's my job!" he shouted, giving her a thumbs up while tinkering with the navigational board again as she closed the door to the cockpit.

When they landed in New Jersey, a limo greeted her, compliments from the VMAs.

"Hello, miss. All drinks and food are complimentary. We're going to Marriott, correct?"

"Yes..." She paused. "What's your name?"

"Uh- Jim."

"Yes Jim, thank you. You mentioned food?"

"And drinks, yes miss."

She pumped her fist. "YESSS! And please don't call me miss. Aru's fine."

"Okay then Aru! Get inside and we should have you there within twenty minutes or so!"

"Great! Thanks Jim!"

She got inside, immediately going for the Swedish Fish that was supplied, then drinking some Coke and then going for the Doritos. She was committed to try everything at least once before she got to the hotel.

At the meeting, they discussed arrangements for the stage, for travel, for makeup and hair, and the extra invites for her friends. She told them she wanted stars hanging from the top and fake clouds across the stage. The song was kind've fairytale-reminiscent like so the theme fit well.

She FaceTimed Brynne. 

"Brynne! Brynne! Bee! They have SO MUCH STUFF IN THIS CAR! You'd go feral!" She flipped her screen and showed Brynne all the food and snacks and drinks. "Have you packed for the VMAs yet?"

"Mini made all of us. Nikita just finished all of our outfits. She never told us what you're wearing though. Is it cute?"

"Oh my god it's beautiful. I legit dreamt about it on the plane ride over here. It's midnight blue and satin, and it has all these silver gems on it so it looks like the night sky. It's flowy enough but it's still fitted at the waist, but it's fine because it's comfortable and satin. And it's sleeveless. But you'll see it when we're getting ready. Anyways, Dave's flying the jet over to you guys to pick you up in like six hours give or take so be ready!"

"Okay okay chill. We're all ready."

The people who organize the VMAs rented out a whole hotel for five whole days, for all the nominees and performers. She had gotten them to get two more hotel rooms for her friends to stay in, and when she saw the photos of the rooms, her jaw had dropped. They were super luxurious, almost like an apartment instead of a room.

Still, she was very surprised walking in. It was the size of her first apartment, so huge for a hotel room. The bed looked so comfortable (she noted this), there was a care package lying on the desk, the view overlooked the courtyard, with perectly cut trees adorning the grass surrounding a large pool (Brynne would like that).

It was absolutely gorgeous.

Aru plopped onto the bed, sighing. "I want to stay here forever."

She opened her phone, to see the latest news reports.

Recently, the Once Upon A Time singer has been recieving backlash for her breakup with actor Logan Dafner, who claimed she cheated on him. Their relationship was on and off for a little over a year, with Aru supposedly being the one to break it off. Since then, she's refused to comment on the breakup, while film star Logan not shying away from giving everyone all the details.

"Well, it's like this. We were both pretty serious. At least I was. I wasn't too sure about her. She started petty fights about nothing often so we kept breaking up and getting back together. She would be telling all her friends everything about us, so I was really uncomfortable. Then, she told me that we wouldn't work out because I was 'too immature'. Later, I realized she was probably cheating on me. So Aru, if you're reading this, I wish you nothing but the worst in life.", Logan says on the recent breakup.

Meanwhile, an insider claimed that he was cheating on her and making others uncomfortable with his actions, which was the ultimate reason why Aru chose to break up with him.

"She wouldn't stand for someone she wanted to possibly have a future with to be treating her differently than others," the source claimed. "In the end, she knew that an on and off relationship built on deceit, disloyalty, and lies could never be viable for a concrete future.", they told us anonymously.
