I've waited on replying or doing anything for six hours. By now, the sun has gone down and I've been told it's now or never. Not from Paige, but from quite literally everyone else.
I told them I could wait to reply in the Seattle's interview, but they said that I should take it by the horns and post something back.
So here I am. Paige and I sitting on the couch, same spot as earlier, thinking up what we should say. My head is on her shoulder as we both throw out ideas. Originally I was also not going to reply at all. Thinking it would send a bigger message than if I did reply.
However, even ten hours after she posted this people have come out with articles and are calling this the next big thing in the W.
It's not quite the publicity that the Wnba needed. I feel bad that this is why they're trending in the off season.
"Maybe I should just let it go. Be the bigger person." I can feel her shaking her head no.
Guess that option is out for sure then.
"No. You need to say something back. It doesn't have to be anything mean, just acknowledge you saw a shitty post from a shitty teammate.
I suppose that makes sense. But what do I say? There are so many different things that I could say back. I've been talking to a few of the people at Seattle. The upper management people and they haven't been very helpful.
One guy told me that he can't control what his players say, and that it's just some friendly rivalry.
And then they had the audacity to send me a contract for eight years. Not that this is something I really care about because I have a lot of deals outside that bring me a lot of income, but they're planning on paying me less than my rookie contract.
When they sent me the digital copy an hour ago you should have seen how fed up Paige was.
Every team can save six players from the expansion team. However since I'm technically freelance I don't know what I'm going to do.
They kind of slapped me in the face with that one. Especially because I know that even if they tried to save me, I still have the option to leave. And I also know that they basically all but took Skylar's side on this matter. Nobody from the organization has spoken out at all. Except for my teammates but they're all pawns in this.
Paige takes my phone and types something down. I look at her skeptically but I trust her. She knows how harsh I would want to be and what point I want to get across.
As she types I play with her hair a little. Sitting up so that I can read it when she's done.
Her hair is as soft as it looks. I can't get over how lucky I am to even be in her presence. I mean, why'd she choose me over all the other people there are out there?
She stops typing and I take my phone back and scan her words.

Woke up and saw my four MVP trophies sitting on my shelf. Although it must have been rigged since I'm not a good or needed player. Anyways, hot weather is calling to me this summer. Anyone know where I might get that?
