I want to love you, but faith says no,
It's hard to love when the rules won't go.
Though it's forbidden to feel this way,
I fight for you, day by day.Yet here I stand, so far yet near,
Just a silent fan, holding you dear.
An awkward soul, but you make me shine,
How do you do it, time after time? You make me fall, no end in sight,
A love so wrong, yet it feels so right.
Oh, how I wish faith gave me a chance,
To love you freely, to take this stance. But I can't betray the path I tread,
The vows of my heart, the faith I've led.
Forbidden love, I’ll let it stay,
For I won’t betray my God today.
