You only chat when you need something,
"Hey -----, what's the assignment again?"
How do I do this, or figure that?
It flutters my heart, but falls flat.I’d smile, knowing you took the time,
To send a message, though never mine.
Yet always in need, you’d come my way,
And leave me hanging by the end of the day.It stings a little, but I’ve grown numb,
These fading feelings leave me undone.
You only know me when you’re in need,
And I pretend it’s fine, though my heart bleeds. It’s always like this, my “happy crush” game,
Ends with sorrow, the pattern the same.
Mixed signals and chats when needed arise,
Faith mocks me, with tears in my eyes. It’s funny, really, how fate can play,
Giving me hope, then taking it away.
You’re a little popular, yet choose me to ask,
Sending my heart on a hurtful task.
