(3rd of December special)
Heather, a song by Conan Gray,
But the more I listen, the more I decay.
The words "only if you knew"
cut me deeper than I ever knew.
If only he saw the feelings I hide,
the love I carry, kept inside.“As she walks by, she got you mesmerized.”
And I see it—the way you're hypnotized.
You smile at her, your world alight,
while I fade away into the night.
It’s sad, but I’m happy for you—
though it breaks me in two.I’m dying as I watch you stare,
knowing I long to be right there.
But how could I speak? How could I say,
when even a song cuts me this way?
What of your words to my confession?
I'd rather endure this silent suppression. She is Heather, radiant and true,
While I’m just here, unseen by you.
You gave me signals, but they were stray;
She earned your love in every way.
I ache, but still, I let it be—
For your happiness means more to me.
