Five Nights At Freddy's was created by Scott Cawthon back in 2014

Vladimir Nabokov's novel "Lolita" was published in 1955 and was supposed to comment about pedophilia but it sadly was misinterpreted mostly because of misogyny

Fnaf and Lolita have certain similarities

1. The unreliable narrator

In the story of Lolita, Humbert Humbert is the main character and is an unreliable narrator and that the book is a confession from the character in prison awaiting trial

Scott Cawthon is an unreliable narrator but mostly due to him having a complicated and messy story, but it doesn't matter because everyone is an unreliable narrator

2. The "Lolita" character

In Lolita, Humbert is attracted to little girls at the ages of 9 to 14 years old who he refers to as "Nymphets" and he falls in love with a 12 year old girl named Dolores Haze (Nicknamed: Lo, Lola or Dolly) and he nicknames her "Lolita" and the reason why he falls in love with Dolores is because she reminds him of his first love Annabel especially in her appearance with chestnut/auburn hair and grey eyes that are mistaken for blue

In the fan comic "Springtrap & Delilah" by GraWolfQuinn, Springtrap (Roger Stanford) is friends with a 14 year old girl named Delilah who is manipulated by him and in private messages from a certain person who used to be friends with Quinn, she used to ship Springtrap and Deliah together and would even do roleplays, and then artwork of the two in "suggested positions" and in one roleplay where Delilah talks with her dad Nick, one time Springtrap raped Delilah...

Let me remind you, Humbert is attracted to little girls at the ages of 9 to 14 years old who HE refers to as "Nymphets"

3. Misconceptions

Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita has been misinterpreted for decades mostly due to releasing the book into a misogynistic society that quickly blames the victim mostly when it comes to sexual violence

The novel was published in 1955 but in the story, Lolita takes place in 1947

Scott Cawthon has created a game series that also quickly became misinterpreted but not exactly

It was more because of the lore surrounding the games and the entire timeline especially in cases of the books

Such as the fact that Scott Cawthon did create these stories but had writers (mostly women) write the stories that just felt weird, at least that's what I think

And when Steel Wool was gonna make Security Breach, Scott Cawthon gave them items to put in certain areas in the game to tell the story, however Steel Wool ended up putting them in certain areas that Scott never intended especially since Scott didn't tell Steel Wool the story at the time which was a mistake

So there was definitely some miscommunication

4. You shouldn't want to adapt or theorize

Lolita has had only two movie adaptions

First in 1962, directed by Stanley Kubrick, starring James Mason as Humbert Humbert and Sue Lyon as Dolores Haze/Lolita, the screenplay written by Vladimir Nabokov himself

And the second in 1997, directed by Adrian Lyne, starring Jeremy Irons and Dominique Swain, the screenplay written by Stephen Schiff

The 1962 movie was also produced by James B Harris who clearly wanted to make Lolita, a sex object especially since he was in a relationship with Sue Lyon at the time and she also lost her virginity to him

And there was a marriage subplot that was dropped, plus Vladimir hated the idea and rightfully so

James B Harris tried to defend to subplot saying "It was perfectly legal for a 12 year old girl to be married to man like Humbert" when in reality, that wasn't true and still illegal

Both James B Harris (The producer of the 1962 film) and Adrian Lyne (The director of the 1997 film) called Lolita "A love story"

While the 1997 film is more faithful to the book than the 1962 version, it's still flawed

Five Nights At Freddy's has had many things surrounding the story theorized multiple times from different YouTubers who care so much about Fnaf

And I'm getting tired of it

Even through theorizing is fun, it's also ridiculous...

Nothing has ever confirmed by Scott especially since he probably doesn't care or is an absolute troll

People kept talking about Midnight Motorist, Golden Freddy, Cassidy, The Mimic, The Crying Child's name, Michael Afton and much more

And at this point, why did Scott have to create these games, have other people takeover his work, be an absolute troll, give vague answers or not confirm anything about the story? Honestly I don't know and I don't care
