The atmosphere was very tense as the Cullen's tried to figure out just what to do with Bella.

Time was running out, and Edward had originally wanted to have Isaac apperate Teddy and Bella away to somewhere safer, but knew that now it wouldn't be logical.

The vampires would be able to hear the weird popping noise and still smell the three's scent.

Isaac and Teddy's scent will be masked by Rosalie's now, and the new scent washed over the field, deleting all traces of their normal scents like they'd never been there.

But Bella wasn't as lucky given that she is a human. Edward and Isaac had talked previously of having Bella's scent masked so that he wouldn't feel the constant need to drain her dry and so Jasper could relax around her when she came to their home, which was pretty often.

But Isaac said it wasn't permanent, that the more he used the spell on her, the less it would have its intended effect.

That if he needed her scent masked, it would be better to have a permanent charm, or some type of scent masking potion.

Edward was of course curious about these alternatives, but hadn't had the opportunity to discuss them with Isaac yet.

He felt foolish about that right at this moment, because now Bella was in danger and it was all his fault.

He should've never brought her out here. He was so selfish when he introduced her into his life, into his family's lives, and yet he couldn't feel any genuine regret because he loved her.

He loved her more than he thought he could ever love someone, he just felt guilty that because he loved her, his family could be put into danger.

That Teddy could now be in danger. Edward would never be able to forgive himself if that little boy he was starting to see as his nephew got hurt because of the love that he and Bella shared for one another.

Edward breathed deeply as he could hear the crunching of the leaves as the trio of nomad vampires entered into Cullen territory.

The brief snarl made its way in all of their faces as three scents filled their noses.

Their territory was marked, these nomads had to have smelt it!

They were ignoring Vampire 101: Always ask permission to enter claimed lands as it is considered rude and seen as a sign of offense towards the leader of the claimed lands to do so.

Carlisle grit his teeth, but tried to remain calm, his patience has never been tested like this before, but given that the boy he was starting to see as his own grandson was standing barely two feet away from him, and these red eyes vampires were invading his land, it was a hard for him to be impartial towards the three who finally exited the forest.

Seeming to glide across the field with the grace of any average vampire.

Rosalie tensed up as the three nomads seemed to finally stop about three or so feet away from the rest of the Cullen coven.

Rosalie looked over them all, trying to assess their different threat levels.

She'd always had an easy time telling who was the most dangerous.

It wasn't a gift, Carlisle has had their 'cousin' Eleazar check to make sure, but it was always something Rosalie could tell.

Maybe it had to do with the time she grew up in, or the way she died, but it was always something she could figure out quite easily.

And pretty much 99% of the time she was correct in her estimates.

She allowed her gaze to swipe over the three, taking in their appearances.
