Family Meeting

It's been about three days since Isaac told Rosalie about the story behind his back scar.

And that very Friday Edward had called a family meeting.

Even asking Rosalie to pick up both Isaac and Teddy who had both taken the time to go and visit the local diner.

With Isaac and Teddy before Rosalie was asked to grab them.

Isaac had never been to the local diner that Forks had.

He liked cooking for himself and Teddy once the boy reached the soft food stage.

He had tried baby food once, and boy was it the most blandest thing he had ever tasted.

He vowed to not force his son to eat something he would never touch himself.

So he took to trying to find new and creative ways to make the baby food he bought taste better, or create his own baby food.

With the help of Esme, they had made a good blend of soft food meals that Teddy enjoyed greatly.

Much more than he ever would if he were to eat baby food.

And on the nights that Isaac didn't feel like cooking, Rosalie or Esme would ask him to be their guinea pig.

Finally having someone who could test out new recipes, someone who actually could taste the meal.

Which Isaac thoroughly enjoyed doing.

For people who haven't eaten a human meal in over a century, Esme just had a classical motherly skill that allowed her to cook homemade meals that tasted better than any Hogwarts meal he had ever had.

And Rosalie, whilst not as experienced in the art of cooking, she was a very fast learner and was always looking to improve upon recipes that she found in cookbooks or on the internet.

So he had no need to go to the town's diner.

But he had decided to go today.

Mostly because he had heard people from school giving great reviews on the meals, and apparently all the town liked to go there and gossip.

So, like the literal embodiment of mischief that he was, he decided to go to this diner to get all the insider gossip that he could.

Something that both his parents must have passed down to him.

Along with the good looks of course.

The moment he had walked in with Teddy in his baby holder strapped to his chest, the whole diner went silent for but a moment.

Then, whispers flew through the crowd as he took a seat close to the back of the diner.

A kind woman named Cora was his server and she asked for what he'd like to drink.

After glancing around the menu, Isaac ordered a glass of coke, and got Teddy a glass of apple juice.

Something that the boy really started to get into when Emmett bought some on the way home from a hunt one day.

As the drinks came by, Isaac grabbed Teddy's spare empty bottle from the nappy bag, and poured the apple juice into it.

But since Teddy was still napping, he'd wait for a bit to wake him up.

When Cora came back to ask for his order, Isaac got an all American diner classic, the bacon cheeseburger and fries.

When his meal was delivered, he slowly started eating, trying his best to not wake Teddy up.
