A/N: I PRAY THAT EVERYONE WILL GET SYLUS'S MYTH IN UNDER 20 PULLS. AMEN 🙏

Guns were aimed at us in all directions possible. The only blindspot in sight was if I managed to throw the table up as a temporary hiding spot before the bullets pierced through.
"I don't like to play dirty, but my patience is running thin," came Matthias's cold voice. Glancing at the man, he casually fixed the cuffs of his suit, his eyes reflecting a raging storm in a sea of surging waves.
"We had this settled," Sylus was being indifferent, sipping on the last drop of his gin fizz.
"We had," Matthias glowered, settling back against the armchair. "But, now that I have proof, I can definitely say that your sweetheart stole my family heirloom," the man stood, rounding the table to my armchair. As he stood behind me, he swiftly snatched my right wrist, the silver pendant gleaming from the light's reflection.
Trust me, I tried to struggle, but this man had an iron grip around my wrist. "I didn't steal anything!" yelling, I shot an angry glare at Matthias. "I found this in a No Hunt Zone!"
"Maybe you should've thought twice before taking something that isn't yours," Matthias snapped back. The man literally loomed over me, those otherwise pretty blue eyes glowering down at me.
Then, it all went black. There were audible gasps from below as the silent restaurant became lively once again, the guests scurrying to find a source of light. Amidst the chaos, I felt Matthias's iron grip on me loosened, replaced with a firm grip, one on my wrists and another around my waist, just as a sliver of light from what I thought was several phones' flashlights shone our way. My brain racked any and all possibilities for a chance of survival, which brought me to a dead end.
A sudden bright light came from my left, nearly illuminating the whole restaurant in its warm glow. Just as the light blinded everyone present, immobilizing them for a fleeting moment, a mist of black fought against it, engaging in a spar of dominance. It was a strange sight, especially to be caught in the middle of the predicament; the warm hand on my left was becoming loose, the light almost admitting its defeat, while the cool hand around my waist became stronger, forcefully pulling me into the darkness, swallowing me whole in pitch black.
In the blink of an eye, I was in the parking lot, encased in a protective embrace. I didn't have to look up to know that Sylus was glaring, most likely to the man standing to our left. They seemed to set the problem aside as we stepped into the vehicle, driving past Azul Eatery's parking lot and towards the gate.
Sylus had me sat on his lap, sitting sideways as he drove away. "Thought you said you wanted to fight," his voice sounded bitter.
Glancing at the rearview mirror, I saw Xavier sitting on the back, challenging Sylus with his intense blue eyes. "No, I said you fight cause you got us into this mess. And, I'll take (Name) to safety."
In the middle of Xavier's sentence, Sylus's voice overlapped him. "Your eyes were screaming 'get her to safety' when you stared at me back there."
"Your eyes were screaming 'I want bloodshed' when you glared at me back there," Xavier was leaning forward, hands on the back of the driver's seat.
"You have the worst judgment," Sylus gritted his teeth.
"Says the one that decided to show up uninvited."
