Chapter 14.

The next day Freya was still convinced that Colin and I had looked at each other in a 'special' way, no matter how many times I told her otherwise.

I tried to ignore her stupid 'I know you like him' look she shot at me all breakfast, but every time I looked away my eyes turned to Colin and I just wished to die right there and then.

"So are you two gonna sing together this afternoon as well?" -Rico

"Well I don't really know if- like together, or m-maybe not at all" -Scarlet

I knew he didn't mean together-together, but it still flew out in that awkward way.

"Yeah, I could be up for more singing tho. Just maybe not with the rest of the leisure club" -Colin

"What? It sounded so good, why?" -Andrew

"There's- It's just-" -Scarlet

"It's pressuring" -Colin

"We literally performed on the cruise ship on the way here in front of all those people we don't know" -Rico

"Hey we practiced that! That's different" -Colin

"And I don't know if you know this, but I have not sung in front of so many people before. And we have not practiced anything" -Scarlet

"Well you could spend the day practicing today, and also prepare for the rest of the week" -Freya

I made a little grimace at her. Of course she just had to find a way of making Colin and I spend an entire day together alone.

"But then we wouldn't hang out with you guys" -Scarlet

"I think we can survive that" -Andrew

"But we don't have that many days left together here, we shouldn't leave" -Scarlet

"Scar, I will literally see you in school when it starts again" -Freya

"And you said it yourself, not that many days left. Therefore it should go quick, now off you go both of you" -Rico

And just like that they had pushed us on our way.

"Sooooo..." -Colin

"Sooooo, what?" -Scarlet

"Sooooo, you got any song ideas?" -Colin

"Do you think I have any ideas?" -Scarlet

"Well I was kind of hoping that you had some" -Colin

"You were the one with the good song last time, where are those good song ideas now?" -Scarlet

"I don't know, probably gone" -Colin

"Any genre you like to sing in?" -Scarlet

"It depends on the mood" -Colin

"What a help you are" -Scarlet

I began to walk a bit away, he was impossible to work with.

"Wait, fine fine, I'll help a bit more" -Colin

"Good" -Scarlet

I looked at him expecting to see him actually think, but he began to walk away and I think he could see how confused I was based on the next thing he would say.

"Come with me, we're gonna find a quiet place to think and practice" -Colin

Before I could answer, he took my arm and dragged me out further into the forest near the lake. He pulled out his guitar from his tent on the way as well as pushing me over to grab my portable piano. When he finally let go of my arm, he started playing around with notes on his guitar.

"What'cha playing?" -Scarlet

"I don't know, what am I paying?" -Colin

"I thought you would know what you play?" -Scarlet

"Oh I know what I'm playing, just gotta know if you do" -Colin

Everything but Colin's guitar was silent, and then our voices of course. What he was playing on the guitar was more clear now.

"I, I just woke up from a dream

Where you and I had to say goodbye" -Colin singing

It was 'Die with a smile' from Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga. Of course.

"And I don't know what it all means

But since I survived, I realized

Wherever you go, that's where I'll follow

Nobody's promised tomorrow" -Colin singing

I started to find the notes on the piano and play with him.

"So I'ma love you every night like it's the last night

It's been a bit difficult to find out what to write but I think I got a part of the spark back so hopefully there will be more chapters out soon.
