Author's pov...
"WHAT THE HELL?" Jisung yelled as the car screeched to a sudden halt. His heart pounded in his chest as he gripped the armrest, eyes wide with panic.
Minho, sitting in the driver's seat, didn't even flinch. He calmly adjusted his position, eyes flicking to Jisung with a knowing smirk. "Calm down, baby, nothing is wrong."
Jisung blinked, still rattled. "What do you mean? I literally broke the front of your car!" He pointed toward the front bumper, now visibly dented and hanging loosely from the side. The car had been parked, but the damage was obvious.
Minho waved a hand dismissively. "I'm rich as hell, honey. This car is nothing but a toy to me." He turned the engine off and leaned back in his seat, clearly unbothered.
Jisung's eyes widened even more. "What? You're not mad?"
Minho smirked. "Why would I be mad about a thing?" He turned to face Jisung fully, his voice light. "You didn't mean to do it. Besides, I can afford to fix it."
"But I broke it," Jisung said, his voice cracking slightly. "And it's a big deal. I don't have any right to break your things..."
"Jisung, relax," Minho interrupted, his voice softening. "It's not that deep. I'm not gonna hit you over a damn car."
"Hit me?" Jisung's face reddened. "No! But... this is a limited edition brand new model!" His voice was filled with disbelief. He couldn't fathom why Minho was so unconcerned.
Minho chuckled, reaching over to ruffle Jisung's hair in a casual, affectionate manner. "It's just a car. I can get a new one whenever I want."
Jisung shook his head, still not quite believing him. "This isn't just some regular car, Minho."
"Don't worry about it. Just get inside the house already," Minho said, his tone light as he opened the door.
Jisung hesitated for a moment, his eyes flickering back to the damaged front of the car. His stomach churned. He felt terrible. But Minho seemed genuinely unconcerned, almost too calm. He finally sighed and followed Minho out of the car.
They walked up the stone path toward Minho's massive mansion. The place was an extravagant blend of modern design and classic architecture-three stories of marble, glass, and steel. As they approached the door, Jisung could already see the familiar figures of his friends lounging around the front yard.
Jisung sighed, muttering under his breath. "What are you guys doing here?"
The group of friends, all casually dressed but unmistakably looking like they belonged in a high-end magazine ad, looked up from their conversation. Their easy smiles and relaxed postures made it clear that they were used to hanging around here, despite how grand the place was.
Seungmin, who was leaning against the fountain, grinned. "We were waiting for you two. You are late."
Jisung shot him a confused look. "Late? We literally just got here."
Changbin, who was seated nearby, chuckled and raised an eyebrow. "Well, you took long enough to break the car."
"Shut up, Changbin!" Jisung snapped, though the annoyance in his voice was more out of embarrassment than anger.
