Author's pov...
Felix, standing next to Hyunjin, smiled brightly at Jisung. "It's alright, Jisung. We don't care about the car. But we do care that you two decided to show up so late." His tone was playful, but there was a certain warmth in his voice.
Hyunjin, always quick to tease, raised an eyebrow at Minho. "Looks like Jisung's the one who needs to be treated like royalty now, huh? Breaking all of Minho's stuff."
Minho merely shrugged, a smile tugging at his lips. "It's just a car. Don't make a big deal out of it."
Jisung, still uncomfortable, shot a glance back at Minho, who had already started walking toward the front door as if the conversation about the car had never happened.
Jisung followed, trying to push the sinking feeling in his chest aside. He felt awkward-out of place, even. This was the world Minho lived in, but it was a world Jisung hadn't fully adjusted to yet.
"So, what are we doing today?" Jisung asked, trying to steer the conversation away from his screw-up.
"Chilling," Felix said, grinning widely. "It's a relax day, Jisung. Stop overthinking everything. We're just hanging out."
Jisung nodded, though he wasn't entirely convinced. He could sense there was something more going on today, something beyond just a casual hangout. His friends' teasing, Minho's lack of concern about the car, the way everyone seemed so comfortable here-it all felt like part of a bigger picture he wasn't quite seeing yet.
As they entered the mansion, the lavish interior was as intimidating as always. Chandeliers hung from the high ceilings, casting a soft glow over the marble floors and sleek furniture. It was a place of luxury, and even after visiting countless times, Jisung still couldn't help but feel like a visitor in someone else's world.
Minho had already disappeared into one of the side rooms, probably heading to the private lounge, while the rest of the group began milling around the main hall.
Jisung lingered near the door, glancing over his shoulder at the group. "You guys really don't mind about the car?"
Changbin was the first to answer, shaking his head. "Nah. We don't care about that. We're here to hang out with you guys, not to judge your driving skills."
"Besides," Hyunjin added, leaning against the wall with a grin, "you didn't exactly crash it into a wall. You'll be fine, Jisung."
Jisung smiled a little, though it didn't quite reach his eyes. Deep down, he knew it wasn't just about the car. There was something else weighing on him, something he couldn't shake. But for now, he would have to push it to the back of his mind.
It wasn't just about the car... it was about Minho, and what exactly he meant when he said it didn't matter.
