The days went by quickly, and now here they were-on their honeymoon in Australia. It wasn't exactly the romantic getaway most couples would dream of, but they had to keep up appearances for Minho's family. It was all a big act: pretending to be madly in love while maintaining their contract marriage for the next six months. But, for now, they were stuck playing the role.
"So... How about a drink to start this journey?" Minho suggested, glancing over at Jisung as they walked into the house Minho owned here in Australia.
"Journey? Bro, we've been married for only six months, then it's divorce. There's no journey, only a contract," Jisung laughed, kicking off his shoes by the door.
Minho smirked, shaking his head. "Still... Wanna drink? I'm kinda tired right now."
Jisung raised an eyebrow, teasing. "Are you trying to drug me into doing something?"
Minho shrugged dramatically. "Yeah, yeah, I mean, how can I leave the chance when my husband is looking so delicious?" He leaned in a little, playing along.
"Shut it," Jisung laughed, nervous laughter escaping as he quickly changed the subject. "I'll see you in the morning, bie bie hubby"
"Bye-bye, wifey," Minho replied sweetly, grinning.
As the time passed, the next morning arrived. The sunlight filtered in through the windows, filling the room with warmth. Jisung stretched out, his body still adjusting to the new surroundings.
He opened his eyes, finally letting out a breath. "Why is this morning weirdly pretty?" he muttered, sarcasm heavy in his tone. Then he chuckled to himself and made his way to the bathroom to start his morning routine.
After about an hour, Jisung walked downstairs, feeling more awake and ready for whatever the day had in store. He paused when he saw the new member of the household-a small, fluffy cat curled up in the living room.
"Oh hey, buddy," Jisung said, grinning at the cat. He crouched down to pet it, enjoying the soft purring.
Minho appeared in the doorway, looking at Jisung. "You like cats?"
"I do. Don't worry, I'm not against the idea of having one here," Jisung reassured him.
"Thank God," Minho sighed in relief. "I thought I'd have to keep it in my room only."
"Aww, you considering a baby?" Jisung teased.
Minho rolled his eyes but smiled. "Come on, let's plan things for today."
"We don't have to do anything, Minho. We aren't on a honeymoon for real. You can do whatever you want," Jisung said, waving a hand as he flopped onto the couch.
Minho raised an eyebrow. "You said that because you don't want to, or because you don't want me to?"
Jisung shrugged nonchalantly. "I just don't wanna fake things while we're alone. So, consider planning stuff you really like."
Minho paused for a moment, then nodded. "Sure, then. We're going to eat, play, and watch a movie. And at night... I'll make you pancakes."
"Whoa, I said you'd love to do that, bro," Jisung joked, his eyes widening in mock surprise.
"I would love to do these things. I would love to spend time with you," Minho said, his voice a little quieter now, as if he meant it more than he wanted to admit.
"Aww, you almost sound like you love me," Jisung teased, grinning.
Minho's smile faltered for a second, and he thought to himself, I do... I wish I could tell you. But instead, he stayed silent, not wanting to ruin the moment.
