Author's pov...
After hours of crying, Jisung finally picked up his phone and called Felix. He needed something to take his mind off everything, something to lift his spirits.
"Let's have a drink night," Jisung said, his voice still thick with emotion.
Felix, ever the supportive friend, immediately agreed. They met up at a bar, both eager to forget the weight of the day.
As the drinks kept coming, the two of them became increasingly drunk, stumbling over their words but still managing to laugh through it all.
"So... What did you do?" Felix asked, his eyes half-lidded from the alcohol.
"Nothing?" Jisung shrugged, a slight smirk on his face as he glanced at Felix.
Felix squinted at him. "Nothing? Bro, he told you to leave indirectly and you didn't say anything?" Felix was already gesturing wildly, barely keeping his balance on his stool. "If my husband ever did that, I'd just kiss him so hard that he'll be begging for another taste. He won't even be able to look at anything else but me after that!"
Jisung blinked, his head spinning from the alcohol, but a mischievous grin spread across his face. "What? Wait... That sounds like a good idea. Should I try it?"
Felix nodded enthusiastically, his head tilting as he gave Jisung a big, silly grin. "Yes, yes, yes!"
"Yayyy!" Jisung cheered, raising his glass in a toast to the idea.
Hyunjin, who had been silently sitting beside Felix, shook his head in disbelief. "Are you two sick in the head? Bro, if he don't want you, then just leave him." His words were calm, but his tone was laced with concern.
Felix and Jisung, however, were too busy enjoying their tipsy plans to listen. They both ignored Hyunjin, laughing together as they continued to drink.
A few hours later, Jisung's phone rang. He looked down at the screen and, without thinking, answered in a high-pitched, baby-like voice, clearly already drunk.
"Hilu," Jisung said, giggling at his own silliness.
The voice on the other end sounded concerned. "When are you going to be home? It's late."
Jisung hesitated, but Felix, ever the troublemaker, winked at him with an exaggerated, playful expression.
Jisung smirked, suddenly feeling a surge of confidence, and leaned into the phone, his voice dropping to a seductive tone.
"I'm not..." He paused for effect, then continued in a teasing whisper, "Why? Missing me?"
The sound of Felix's giggles made Jisung laugh even harder, his voice full of playful mischief.
He couldn't stop himself from laughing at how ridiculous he sounded, but it felt good-like a small escape from the pain that had been lingering all day.
Felix joined in, laughing uncontrollably, while Hyunjin, who was sitting across from them, rolled his eyes in disbelief at the scene.
But Jisung didn't care. For the first time tonight, he felt a little lighter, like he might actually be able to laugh through the mess he'd found himself in.
And with that, the chapter ended, the sounds of laughter and nonsense ringing through the night.
