After half an episode of himym my brother finally returns downstairs realising the coast is clear and takes no time in making the situation awkward.
"Lexi?" he asks "why are you sat so close to luke, i mean really its a couch that has space for four, you could move up a bit...unless...you have a crush on him...", he giggles acting like a school girl.
"To far" is all i can say , i feel my cheeks starting to burn, as i turn to face my brother at the end of the stairs i realise how close me and luke actually were, our shoulders only centimetres apart, hands almost touching. As an instinct i immediately pull my hands away and luke does the same.
"I...I sat next to her actually" Luke almost whispers his cheeks turning red too. "But only because i thought...you would be joining us soon after you ran away like the wuss you are." laughing at the last part luke stands up and tries his best to recreate the scream that came from my brothers mouth. This resulted in fits of laughter and after breathing returned to normal the boys left to finish a school project. But something wasn't right as i sat there something was missing...but the only thing that had changed was the fact Luke wasn't with me. It's can't be him, I can't like him, it can't happen.
(Lukes POV)
I had to come up with some excuse or a diversion something to stop Lex and Chris getting any hints of my feelings towards her. So if it took me standing up and screaming like a teenage girl at a one direction concert then I would do it. Thankfully, after loosing any respect I could possibly have had, Chris seemed to forget about the whole thing and left Lexi alone about the situation . But as we walk up the stairs to start our music project I long to just have 5 more minutes watching my favourite show only centimetres away from the girl I've always had feelings for.
