(Lexi's PoV)
Ok so it's been a week since the sprint of desperation and my legs have still not recovered from all of the exercise... Come on its was a 2 metre sprint at record breaking speed... ok it was a fast jog and i hadn't done any exercise in years, please don't judge
Anyway, as a quick update my parents are still away, who knows when they'll come back, half term is in a couple of days, thank the Lordy, and finally Luke has a girlfriend. Not that I'm bothered or anything, maybe a little, ok a lot. Here's how I found out...
So Luke had basically been living at our house, sometimes bringing the 5sos boys with him. And things we going great, me and Luke we finally getting to know each other again becoming closer friends and i was getting to know the other boys as well. We would on most days stay up till 1 in the morning watching films not caring about school the day after. But one night when we were all just chilling, I was snuggled in between Calum and Luke, checking Twitter whilst we watched the inbetweeners movie when suddenly Luke gets a phone call. Him being with us, the only friends we presumed he had, we all quizzically shoot a glance up at him puzzled on who the mystery person he was now laughing with was. Again, me being the nosey little shit I am I lean in closer, and Luke automatically leans further away from me. This continues until Luke is basically hanging over the edge of the sofa and I'm practically on top of him. After ending the phone call he turns to push me off, but doesn't, instead he just looks at me. His eyes, deep pools, searching my slightly duller blue ones. I wait for him to say something but he doesn't, he just looks at me. We stay like that for a while until Calum notices us and coughs in an attempt to make things awkward, and succeeds. After realising how It must have looked, I awkwardly look for space to climb of, only then noticing Luke's hand on my cupping my cheek. I snap my head up towards him and he drops his hand immediately, sitting himself back up straight on the sofa. I clamber off too and turn back to the film but my eyes can't help but notice Luke looking at me, he seems angry, wait no, sad.
The film finishes and Michael abruptly asks Luke about the mystery girl (I could tell from the giggles coming from the other side of the phone) and honestly I had forgotten but as soon as Michael brought it back up the tang of jealousy that I had felt earlier returned. I wasn't used to this, she, whoever she was, felt like competition and I have no idea why. I didn't even know her and it was like we were already at war with each other.
"That was Summer", Luke states, sighing slightly, "...my..um...girlfriend?" He questions the last part like he's waiting for approval, the boys all "ohhh" and "aaaah" and forcing a smile I do the same. This can't be happening, me and Luke were just getting back to knowing each other, and it's not like I was needy for his attention, I'm not like that, but i feel like this Summer chick is taking him away from me before our relationship could get back to how it was before.
I quietly excuse myself, trying my best to make it as subtle as possible I was upset. After making it to my room a single tear falls down my cheek and I know, for the first time that I like Luke, more than just knowing him as my brothers friend, and more than just my friend, more than anything I had felt for anyone else, maybe even stronger feelings than the ones I had for my bed, and believe me it's difficult to reach that standard. But before anyone could know anything about this, or before I could become certain of my feelings, I needed to see him with Summer, if he was happy with her, I had no right to disturb their relationship in any way.
