(Lexi's PoV)
Ok so I might as well let you in on the plan Sophie has created, step one was to find someone who wouldn't mind being my fake boyfriend and as you know Calum, for some reason, was up messing with Luke. So that was part one sorted Calum Hood is for everyone else's information, now my boyfriend. Phase two is to just be the cutest couple ever around everyone, especially Luke. And phase three, though no know knew about this one not even Sophie, was to get Luke to like me, you know like me, like me. The problem with this phase is that doubt it will ever be completed, how could he like me and how would my brother react, it could ruin everything. But no matter how hard I tried to watch films and think "oh he's good looking" or "oh yeah that guy at schools cute", all I could think about was Luke. If he didn't feel the same way I don't know what I would do.
Putting phase three out of the window for now I focused on step two. It was time to break the news to the whole group. Sitting them all downstairs, which was hard enough as Ashton and Soph had their heads buried in their phones, Mikey was madly pressing buttons on his Xbox controller and screamed at anyone who walked in front of the TV screen, and Summer and Luke were basically eating each others faces, I swear I gagged a few times and my brother was sleeping (back to usual). Somehow me and Cal managed to get everyone sat down and they all just stared agitated and angry for interrupting their actions. Thankfully cal began...
"So as you know we're all great friends here"
"Some better friends then others," I interrupt glaring at Luke, who returned the look
Cal continued, "anyway me and Lexi here, we've become very close" he explains searching for my hand and intertwining our fingers. I look towards my brother who doesn't in the slightest look happy, great.
"And, well, we're dating" I finish for Calum, a few over the top gasps come from Michael that make everyone laugh, besides two people Luke, which I expected, and my brother. Why does he look so mad about this, I don't understand, surely if he wanted me to date anyone he would want it to be someone he knew and trusted. My thoughts are interrupted by Chris standing up and leaving abruptly. Sophie tries to lighten the mood standing up and giving me and cal a hug explaining that we make a cute couple, of course it had been rehearsed but I gotta say she's a great actress it seemed like she generally meant it. Ashton then follows her lead and so does Mikey, we'd hoped they would. That left Luke and Summer.
"Really, you two" , Luke almost scoffed, "you've never seemed that close, besides hugging, and friends do that all the time" he paused waiting for a reaction. I looked up to Cal In defeat, we'd lost and Luke had seen right through our act. But Calum wasn't taking any that, he removed his hand from mine and turned to face me, his hand cupped my cheek as he leaned in closer towards me. A million thoughts flowed through my head, should I be doing this, was this part of the plan, do I want to do this?? But seeing Luke's slightly shocked face out of the corner of my eyes, I knew the plan was working. I didn't give Calum the time to lean in any further, instead I stood, slightly on my tiptoes and connected our lips. His plump, soft ones moved against mine as I slung my arm around his neck and he rested his hands on my hips. But almost to my relief, I felt nothing, no fireworks or butterflies, it was just a kiss. It lasted a few seconds longer until we were broken apart by Soph telling us Luke had gone leaving Summer sat alone and crying.
"Summer?" I ask trying to act concerned "What's wrong?"
"What's wrong, what wrong?" She repeats sounding more and more angry. "You know what's wrong, you, all he talks about is you. I try to get his attention and you just always interrupt. The way you look at him or the way you wink at him when your with Calum, you have a boyfriend now you little slut so leave mine alone"
I didn't like this feeling, I felt like I was being attacked and the worst part was I couldn't deny any of it, I did wink and smirk at Luke and in my mind I did secretly want him to be mine. Suddenly, dizzy I sit down on the couch, smiling slightly as Sophie and Cal sit beside me making sure I was alright.
"Awwww, are you gonna faint?," Summers says in one of those boo hoo types of tones that mothers would use, "serves you right you bitch!" She spits.
"Hey, don't swear," I hear Ash in the background, making me smile as I hear him ushering her out of the door. "there, she's gone" he states proudly.
"thanks Ash" I stand up, steadying my self by giving him a hug.
"anytime, we're all friends here, some better than others" he lets go and I return to Calum's side, him automatically slinging his arm round my shoulder. As Ash leaves the room with Mikey to check on Chris, i see him wink towards Soph and she blushes. Was something going on between them? I needed to know, but I guess not right now seeing as she told us she had to go home, leaving me and cal to discuss what had happened today and what our actions should be next.
