"If you expect me to apologize for what happened then I assure you you will wait a million years, Zhan, because I have no regrets about what happened between us!" Yibo said, cutting through Zhan's silence and thoughts.
"Thank you, then," Zhan responded coldly, not bothering to glance at Yibo. "That would be the last insult if you apologize after what you did."
Yibo spoke with a hint of confusion, saying, "The one thing I regret is causing you pain. I'm truly sorry about that. How could I have known it was your first time?"
Zhan's cheeks turned red. "Please, Mr. Lan!"
"But you are not going to spoil my record, are you, Zhan, you'll let me make it up to you, right?" Yibo teased, meaning to lighten up Zhan's mood, as he could see that Zhan was holding back the crying.
He'd prefer to see Zhan get mad instead of crying. Yibo felt like a bastard taking a young virgin.
How is he supposed to know that Zhan lacks experience when Zhan keeps mentioning he has a boyfriend the whole time he's been his secretary?
Yibo wanted to comfort him. He wanted to hold Zhan in his arms. Tell him that everything will be all right. But he held himself.
He was worried that Zhan might reject his attempt to comfort him and end up freaking out.
He can see on Zhan's face that he was on the verge of it. And Yibo was really worried. He had never been in a situation like this. He doesn't know what to do or say. This was all new to him.
But then Zhan was something of an enigma. Even back when Zhan was still new to the job and just started to work for him. Zhan had intrigued him. Despite his ugly glasses, he noticed his smooth and fair skin. Even with his old-fashioned clothes, he couldn't hide the fact that Zhan had an amazing body, especially his behind, which was hard to miss.
He secretly observed Zhan on multiple occasions, wishing he had X-ray vision. He was curious about what lay behind those large glasses and what was hidden beneath his outdated clothing.
Despite the attire that Zhan was portraying, he had an inherent grace, he was soft-spoken, and well-mannered. All of that was Zhou Fei's opposite. Oh, Zhou Fei had grace. No doubt about it. She picked it up at a fashion school and had to pay for it because she needed it for her line of work.
Also, Zhan's kind of beauty was skin-deep.
When Zhan's disguise was revealed to him earlier, he saw Zhan was pretty in his own right, and Zhan was beautiful, inside out.
Of course, he is really angry that Zhou Fei is postponing their wedding. But deep inside him, He breathed a sigh of relief, knowing he was finally free from the ropes that had bound him to her and the weight of responsibility that had kept him stuck with her. Perhaps the feeling had been there all these times. He didn't let that thought take over his mind since both their families expected him and Zhou Fei would end up getting married.
And he has a strange feeling deep in his heart for Zhan that he can't put a name on. All he could say was that Zhan was refreshing. It felt like he had just stepped out of a scorching desert and was finally quenching his thirst with some refreshing cold water. "You bastard!" Zhan hissed, cutting off his thoughts. "Do you really have that colossal ego?"
Those beautiful eyes that have been hidden for so long behind large, plastic glasses are emitting fire. Yibo silently smiled. One of his best assets. Thick and fluffy eyelashes on a deep-set eye.
